Superior Melee Weapon
{table=head]Weapon|Prof|Damage|Range|Price|Weight|Group|Proper ties
Kukri|+3|1d4|-|5 gp|1 lb|Light Blade|Off-hand, high-crit, similar (dagger)[/table]

New Weapon Property
Similar: A similar weapon mimics another weapon. Because of this, the weapon always gains the benefits that the weapon identified with it (in brackets) gains, as if it was a weapon of that type. A Kukri for instance, would benefit from the Rogue Weapon Talent ability.

Looks as balanced as it ever was in 3.5e, a pretty simple homebrew. I agree with the use of similarity as well, it makes sense and in no way breaks the game. I bet the same weapon will come out in a splatbook later, minus the similarity effect.

Without that effect its a weaker Katar honestly.
