Qustion about animal companion advancement.

I'm still very new, and was confused at the 3.5 PHB entry about animal companions scaling, especially in regards to feats etc.

1. Do they/when do they gain new feats? Is it every 3rd hit die? or is it based on the caster level?

2. Same question, but skill points?

3. How many tricks can they learn? Is it just the one listed for every 3 levels? Or are those just bonuses and they can learn additional ones?

1. They get new feats for every 3 HD.

2. 2+int every HD, or 1 SP considering their inteligence

3. Skill Tricks listed in the table for Animal Companion are in addition to the ones you teach them through Handle Animal.
