Besides the Darkstalker(lords of maddness) feat, what methods can relianble defeat scent?

- Incorporeality
- Etherealness
- Imperceptibility (GITP Homebrew, Gaming Section)
- IIRC, Superior Invisiblity (Complete Arcane, Errata'd in Spell Compendium)
- Construct Traits, Depending on which DM you ask
- Powerful Directed Wind Effects
- Range (Scent has a range where it just completely stops working in combat)

Hope this helps.

Also Hide from Animals (1st level druid spell; PHB), if the thing that's trying to track you happens to be an animal.

I'd also add certain Undead, specifically the very skeletal ones, to the Constuct item. For the liberal DM my first idea as a PC would be to build a stink bomb, who the hell cares if you can smell what I had to eat last thursday if you can even stand up let alone breathe in due to the chemical weapon I stuffed up your synesis.

A skunk.:smallwink:

No, seriously, tick one off and you'll stink up the place for weeks. What Wyvern could use it's Scent ability through that?
