Anyone here know how to make fonts?

I'm trying to find someone who has ever made a custom font or at least knows where I can find a maker, human or otherwise?

well I believe you could make some using InkScape.

But to actually create the font, instead of just the letters, you'd need something like FontLab (the cheapest edition I can find is $99).

Anyone know of any open source stuff?

Well, found some trialware that seems to be pretty decent, but it's a bit technical and not sure how well I'd be able to produce my own font.
