Difficult. I choose 478 because of the banter between Elan and V. It's funny.

My vote is for 478.

477. It really is a good showing of how freakishly powerful MitD can be, also shooting Roy in the crotch is hilarious.

I shall cast my vote for 478 aswell. V is my favorite character, and it's good to see him teaching Elan.

Ugh, they're all amongst my favourites, and 477 and 479 are so good in different ways ("They eat devilfish, mostly"), but I'm going to go for 477.

Red XIV

480, for Redcloak being badass and amusing.

This one has a lot of great moments. I really like Elan and V, but especially Elan, in 478, and 479 is quite funny, and 477 might have had my vote in another line-up too. But my blatantly partisan vote has got to go to Redcloak vs. Hinjo in 480. The one-hit KO is badass, but it's his nonplussed "what?" to the hobgoblin's :smalleek: expression that makes it perfect.

"I said I didn't have many spells left."

Almost went for 480 for Redcloak being totally badass, but I'll have to go with 477. The MITD is just great.

Haven't seen one of these in a bit.

Some reasonable ones here, tho none outstanding. I'll go with 477, tho I'm not sure there is much difference between #1 and #5 this time.

Between 477 and 478, I'd have to go with 477.

#478 for me

I nominate 477, on account of it not being 744.

One of the few chances the MITD gets to shine.

A fairly good spread of possible winners here, but for me it will have to be #478.

"If I let myself get hung up on only doing things that had any actual chance of success, I'd never do anything!"

Ah, Elan's idiotic sense of never-say-die. Gotta love it.

Have Fun!

I'll give my nomination to #477, though I do like #478 a lot since it is mostly dialogue...

i love all of these ones but i think 477 tops it for me =]

Damn hard choice... MitD is great of course... in both strips... 'I'm sure Durkon can fix this too' is also a great line... as Elan's 'If I never did things I can't do' speech... Or 'Razor, I choose you!'... Hmpf... RC's Badassness and pala-rant is not bad either... damn... Hm... It'll be 477 for MitD and O-Chul leaving together towards sunset... er, some months of cruel torture.

479. Love the shark as a paladin mount.

I seem to be in the minority, but my favorite of these is 476. I often like the demon roaches, and they're good in the first two panels here. And I like how the plot collision at the end resonates (with a callback in the title!).

Besides, did anyone else notice that in 477, there's no rope attached to the arrow when she shoots it?

And just how *did* he cut tha tentacle with a hammer?

477. Definitely.

Chronos

I'm enough of a Redcloak fan to appreciate 480, and Vaarsuvius and Elan working together on magic in 478 is good, too, but 479 has a friggin shark as a holy paladin mount! How friggin' cool is that?

My vote's for 478

I'm torn between 477 and 480, for reasons others have mentioned.

I think strategic voting concerns dictate that I vote for 477.

477 is good, 480 is funny but

478 as V helps Elan become ever more useful.

I think I vote Jaws of Life. 479

478 has more and better lines than 477, though I still like both.

Another minority vote for 476 here.

I thought it would be a battle between 477 and 480, not 477 and 478! But the V and Elan crowds came out in force and decided they liked 478 more than 480 for some reason. I was sure the Redcloak crowd would be larger. But it is kinda short. Well, at least we reached the second page... barely.

481 may be doomed because 482 is probably a superior strip in most eyes, but 483 outpaces it. But none of those stand a chance because of the epicness of 484, the sheer plot-wrap-up-ness and clue leaving. But not even 484 is likely to have an easy path to BotQ: If you liked the banter of 478, I have a feeling you will absolutely love 485. It's 484 or 485 with 483 a dark horse or at least a spoiler.

Yes, not only have we completed a book before it was published, we are now officially entering the current book. (Again, I believe.)

If it helps, by my count we should reach 600 before we need it to complete the Sixth Hundred, using my one-vote-round-per-strip theory, which is breaking down because of the spurts of mass strip production we've been getting combined with the return of Nazzo's slowness, so we could be even farther ahead.
