I don't know why, but the ORACLE has easily conquered a space in my heart
forever! All this metagame knowlegde, his sarcastic ways, his expression of
the kobold personality by letting Belkar kill him just because the halfling is
going to die anyway... and he even told this to Belkar beforehand!

It's like: "Yes, you will kill me because I want to do a prick on you before
you go bye-bye!"... that should have been the real wording of Belkar's
prophecy!

And Roy now!
He said: "The kobold didn't even bother looking into the future!"
He couldn't be farther from the truth. Of course the kobold KNEW he would
remember everything. He HAD to remember, and the ORACLE knows that!

Now... I can just speculate why!
But one thing is certain...
I LOVE THE ORACLE!

Er... why would the oracle tell him he'd forget everything if he knew he wouldn't three panels later? Unless it's some strange masterplan I cant figure out...
Anyway, I think he's good as well, hehe.. Though I like 'Lickmyorangeballshalfling' way better than whatever was the other name...

As I said in the other topic, your right the Oracle definently has some mysterious plan...

Is that a typo or some bit of slang I am unaware of?

Also, knowing the future is what probably lets the Oracle change it...which makes him the only character with free will.

I could also have sworn that the Oracle gave his name as Yeril at some point in the comic...turns out I had him mixed up with another forumite.

I like him well enough. He's got a place in there.

However, he's not really a character in the same way as the OOTS, O'Chul, Shojo, Team Evil. Heck, even Miko. They all have their down points. Places where they are losing and where they aren't getting their own way.

The oracle is getting his own way and doesn't seem to be a candidate for EVER finding out he's not up to the task.

Which means he's a minor character. Worthwhile but not loveable.

Because you don't see him have to try to overcome (and sometimes overcome failure).

He's amusing. I doubt we'll ever see him again after this, though.

The Oracle is cool - he inspires all of my Kobold characters.

The thing I like, of course, is the notion of turning the powerful prophet concept on its ear by assigning it to a creature folks normally consider beneath contempt.

I'm fairly sure we're not done with the Oracle yet.

I agree... the Oracle (who I love too) clearly has some knowledge of events which only leads me to the conclude that he has some mysterious plan, and is a much more central figure than we all thought. Or think... Or will think...

I don't love the oracle, but I think he's pretty cool.

If there was some kind of vote as to who will become the 7th member of the Order of the Stick, I'd vote for the oracle.
He's much better then Hinjo on SO many levels.

I don't know if the rules for remembering the afterlife are actually written down anywhere, but it's generally accepted in the games that I've played in that you don't remember anything about the afterlife after being raised. If that's true in the OOtSverse, then it doesn't matter if Roy can remember the oracle or not, because he'll just forget once he's raised.

Oops, I meant PRANK!
