I don't really get why they are remaking them. The plots are nothing special to speak of, just cashing in on the nostalgia and kudos associated with the names I suppose.

Red Sonja I can understand, with it being a decent action title and having a current running comic to draw from.

But Barbarella? Does anyone even remember that? It was a bad movie based on a very family-unfriendly comic that I can only recall seeing in magazines from the sixties. If they wanted to do something in that vein, there are plenty of European artists they can draw on...
