Best known for playing General Hammond in Stargate SG-1, he was aged 65.

RIP.

Sadly I can say that I only remeber him the few episodes of Stargate SG-1, rest in peace whoever you was as a person.

Geez, that really sucks. :smallfrown: He was always such a friendly-sounding guy in interviews and such, too. He's actually been in a lot of things, like playing Scully's dad on the X-Files and (where I first saw him) Major Briggs on Twin Peaks. (Come to think of it, a lot of his parts involved a uniform of some sort. I guess he just projected that sort of persona.)

Rest in peace Major General Davis...

Oh.... sad news... I mostly know him as General George Hammond, though there were some other minor roles as well... Still... we will miss you, Don!

Surely this isn't a sign of the start of a Goa'uld invasion?

For some strange reason I decided to pull out Season 1 of Stargate SG-1 yesterday and watch the first episode.

Then I got home today and heard the news.

RIP.

I always liked the episode where they travel back in time to 1969, and a young Lieutenant Hammond helps them because he sent a note back in time to himself. =) RIP, Sir.

*sigh*
Yeah, 1969 was a great ep...
Any remember the episode, when SG1 lost their memory and Jack started remembering someone? 'He's bald... and always wearing white shirts... and his name starts with an H... Homer!' Hehe... *sniff* RIP, Homer...

And he was a judge in Best In Show if I remember correctly.

Still he will be missed.

Too bad... General Hammond was a better character than... The second general for SG1. General Landry. Rip, Don.

I remember he was in an Episode of McGuyver once. He was like an evil hunter or something. But he was the least evilest one of the group. I think Christopher Judge was in an episode of McGuyver, too. Weird...

Is it just me, or have a lot of people been dying lately?
