Hi there, I need help from a computer knowledgeable person.

My boss uses a Laptop and a huge screen to work, and I proposed to him using both screens at the same time, rather than a single screen duplicated (you see what I mean? the desktop extends into each screen)

But he didn't liked it, and asked me to put it back. I tried simply to cancel it the exact way I've made it. I've merely clicked on "Extend desktop to screen" (or something like this). But when I clicked "apply", the huge screen went into power-saving mode. I do not seem to be able to use duplicated-screens again (what I started with in the first place)

My boss is breathing down my neck, can someone help me?

(lesson learned: don't dabble with things you do not understand. Applies with softwares at the office, and Cthulhu-related documents)

Try looking in the Advanced settings. A lot of graphics drivers include options in there for running in either dual-screen mode or duplicating the screen onto the second monitor. Failing that, laptops often have a keyboard shortcut for switching between screen modes.
