Mental Multimeter
Divination
Level: Ham 0, Mage 1, Acolyte 1; Components: V, S; Casting Time: Full round action; Range: Personal; Target: Personal; Duration: 1 hour/level; Saving Throw: None; Spell Resistance: No
Once you cast Mental Multimeter, you may touch any two points with one finger of each hand. You then instantly know the following:

The voltage between the two points
The resistance between the two points
The capacitance between the two points

Additionally, you may place one finger at a point, and know the current flowing through that point.

This information provides a +2 Competence bonus to any Repair check involving electronics, and any Craft (Electronic) check.

Soldering Iron
Transmutation
Level: Ham 0, Mage 1, Acolyte 1; Components: V, S; Casting Time: Attack action; Range: Touch; Target: A long piece of metal; Duration: 1 hour/level; Saving Throw: None; Spell Resistance: No
For one hour per caster level, the piece of metal you are holding becomes hot enough to melt solder when touched to other metals (such as electronic components). It is not hot if touched by skin, leaving the worker's hand unscathed.

This provides a +2 Equipment bonus to any Repair check involving electronics, and any Craft (Electronic) check.

Record Information
Divination
Level: Ham 2, Mage 2, Acolyte 2; Components: V, S; Casting Time: Attack action; Range: Personal; Target: Personal; Duration: 1 minute/level; Saving Throw: None; Spell Resistance: No
You can record what you see and hear for up two 1 minute per caster level, and later “dump” that onto a digital storage system, such as CD or DVD.

Radiospeak
Divination
Level: Ham 1, Mage 2, Acolyte 2; Components: V, S; Casting Time: Attack action; Range: 10 miles/caster level; Duration: 10 minutes/level; Saving Throw: None; Spell Resistance: No
By speaking or subvocalizing, you can transmit your voice over any radio frequency. The range can be modified depending on weather conditions and what band is chosen. (2 meters, for example, typically has less range, while 80 meters has greater.) You may access repeaters, and even mimic PL tones provided you know the tone required for the repeater. You may send Morse code by thinking in dits and dahs. (This has the benefit of being silent!) Law enforcement agencies, such as the FCC, will still require you to have the proper license and that you operate in the correct modes on the correct frequencies. (For example, 2 meters is largely voice.)
