Last week, xkcd ran a comic (http://xkcd.com/442/) parodying the discovery channel commercial using references to itself. I was thinking... could we do that with OotS.

I thought about copying comic panels from OotS to make a small comic, but Rich doesn't like people doing that so I'm going to just put lyrics for now...

:roy:I love this greatsword
:durkon:I love destroying wood
:xykon:I love badass crowns
:miko:And being lawful good
I love the whole world
And all its funnyness
Boom de yada, Boom de yada
Boom de yada, Boom de yada

:haley:I love bags of gold
:belkar:I love kobold hats
:nale: I love vengeance
http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-8/1204323/Shojo.jpgI love this kitty-cat
I love the whole world
And its stick-figure art
Boom de yada, Boom de yada
Boom de yada, Boom de yada

:elan:I love puppet-gods
:redcloak:I love the Dark One's dreams
:vaarsuvius:I love explosive runes
:thog: thog love his ice cream
I love the whole world
Thank you, Rich Burlew
Boom de yada, Boom de yada
Boom de yada, Boom de yada

Nice idea, but in the second and third verse the meter needs some work.

What? That xkcd strip was based on a song? From the Discovery Channel? I thought it was cute, but I had no clue about its origin...

It's based off of this Discovery Channel commercial.

Bravo!

Notable lack of Monster in the Dark, but there wasn't a character worth replacing him with.

All that really needs is an upgrade, maybe take actual panels from the comics to symbolise each line.

Discovery didn't invent that song either, it's a traditional campfire classic.

I love when Rich makes
A brand new comic
I love to come and read
The Order of the Stick
I love the whole world, and all it's liveliness
Boom De Yada, Boom De Yada,
Boom De Yada, Boom De Yada,
I love the forums
When they run so smooth,
I love the playground,
And all it's people too,
I love the whole world, and all it's loveliness
Boom De Yada, Boom De Yada,
Boom De Yada, Boom De Yada.....

If you liked the song. Feel free to "Pass the Boom" to our friend Cristo Meyers by posting a version of it after him. Tell him it's from Supagoof. :smallwink:

I love it! I'm listening to the the theme song of the game Mutiny, and it fits the song just right. You should try singing it out loud to the games tune.

I seriously need to find a campfire more often. I had no clue about this song's existence.

I heard it first in my elementary school music class:

I love the mountains.
I love the rolling hills.
I love the flowers.
I love the daffodils.
I love the fireside, when all the lights are low.

Boom de Yada, Boom de Yada...etc.

Ohh, wait, vague memories are coming back... I think I once heard the verses without the chorus. Why they were separated, I don't know, but maybe... Anyway, even if I had remembered the song, xkcd probably wouldn't have reminded me of it.
