Hmmm... I'm between 494 and 495, but I think I'll take 495. For Roy's reaction seeing Enrique. And his poor English.

another set with nothing really outstanding, but 495 does seem to have a clear edge.

Hm... all have something but nothing that's really impressive... I' d like to tend towards 494 or 495 for the 'hot mom' bonus... But I'll take 493, for the mall gag and the intentional lack of hands ^^

I'll take 495 for comic value.

Again I'm torn... I think 494 just edges it for me though!

493, for the philosophy, the layout, and the return of Bandana Guy paladin.

Damn, I like all of these. The Roy-in-Heaven sequence was just full of great stuff. But I guess if I have to vote, I'll go for "Things to do in Heaven When You're Dead," 492. It's so clever. "The Debate Hall Where You're Always Right..." yeah, I could see myself spending some time there. "Huh, you know, I never really thought about it that way." Is there anything cooler than the idea that you might have introduced a new way of thinking to somebody? Of course it's all just-make believe, just like the tavern of one-night stands is just about carnal pleasure and the food places are just about enjoying the taste, not nourishment. Plus I love the pissed-off looking Eugene still standing behind the heavenly gate in the first panel, and the banter between Roy and his archon about how he'd have to have all his affairs at his mom's house. Cute. But whichever one wins this round, I'll be happy.

I asked about 492 in the debate hall and they said I was right to vote for that.

All are slow expositions and don't really stand out in terms of comedy or insight but promiscuity of the mother in 495 is funniest.

If heaven isn't too far away, then 492 is what most people would want out of it.

Assuming the voting deadline is extended for the forum being down, I vote for 492. Because I really really want my afterlife to include a Tavern of Infinite One Night Stands.

491, just because of Eugene's face :smallbiggrin::smallbiggrin:

Withholding judgment until I find out if the deadline is extended. However, as it may turn out to be "well, I'll just ignore the fact these votes were technically cast after the deadline", I'll go ahead and say I think we all know what the early favorite (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0496.html)is next round. 498 earns similar sentimentality points, while 497 and 500 would be strong in any other group of five, and 499 would be far from the runt. Still, I'll expect a landslide for 496.

This post is NOT meant to imply voting has closed. We are currently voting between 491 and 495.

495, no doubt about it. I fell down laughing at the end, mostly because of Roys expression.:smallamused:

494. Only for the "How did you know my name?" joke.

Would I go for the jokes of 492 or do I cherish the positive moment, 494...

I go for 494

493. I was more excited about that than the others when it first came out. Bandaladin!

Because of the recent events with the forums, I now announce the new deadline for this poll. Let's make some calculations first.

Original deadline: July 14th, 1:00 AM

Before forum was down:
Last vote: July 11th, 6:38 AM
Elapsed time: 5 hours, 38 minutes
Remaining time: 2 days, 18 hours, 22 minutes

After forum was down:
First vote: July 19th, 3:17 PM

Assuming I did not make any mistakes, this puts the new deadline in July 22nd, 9:39 AM. But, as and exception, I will postpone this deadline to July 23rd, 12:00 AM, when I will annouce the final results and we can move on to the last regular poll of this hundred.

Looks like 492 appears to have just peeked its head above the clusterbleep.

And once again, we can't get to the second page. Even with a little bit of buffer from the space between the forums being down and the immediately surrounding votes.

I gave my next round analysis earlier. Scroll up :) Though it's really sort of a formality...

This is a fairly weak stretch in the comic, really, but 491 has some nice Roy vs Eugene snark.

To my mind, a fairly weak set this time.

I will go with 491.
"But... but that's not fair!"
"Yes, it is fair. And that's why you're upset."
"Oooooo, holy burn!"

Have Fun!
