Ok try to make it short and to the point.
I have vista ultimate which has windows media center. I found a program called media control which allows Media center to play any files the CCCP will play plus some other features. This is great but it still doesn't do what I need it to do.
^^ That being allow those files to play on my Xbox360 when it is set up as an extender to Media Center. Unfortunately it doesn't work. I have read a few other methods on how to play such files as MKV and AVI on the 360. However I don't feel that any of those methods are as organized or as easy to pull of as just running media center on my xbox. Not to mention that I don't think these other methods will allow for subtitles and such to be switched or multiple audio tracks.
If anyone has any insight or has a solution let me know.
These are the programs I use to get Media center to play other files.
MediaControl 5.3.1
ffdshow
Combined-Community-Codec-Pack
THNX in advance.
