The Spore Creature Creator (hereafter reffered to as the SCC) is a fiarly amazing piece of work. It has a large variety of possible designs, and therefore can probably handle a large amount of alienness. Knowing this heres my idea:
-We post pictures and descriptions of creatures either onto this board or some kind of wiki, or perhaps another board.
-Others can look at your creature and imagine how they might evolve, and then build that evolution using the partiall or complete versions of the SCC and then post them here to.
-Repeat.
The idea is that, since the SCC is so easy to use and versatile, a large group of people can help contribute to a large project whereby we build an alien ecology. To do this we need to create a sketch of the geologic and climactic history of the planet, and decide some basic things about life on this planet, like the number of limbs, sensory organs, types of creatures etc.
