I vote for the Xintri. They're the less flattering portrayals of elves turned up to 11.

Well, how can I not vote for myself?

If I thought it was any worse than the rest, I would have changed it.

+1 vote to Ghostfolk.

Man this is kind of a tough decision. Theres a least 4 I really, really like. I'm gonna go with Gridoll. I've always had a thing for amphibian/reptile people.

This is a wonderful rule.

Also, I vote for the Colors Purple. It's just too cool to NOT get my vote.

Some very creative entries this month, and there are several I'd like to vote for. Narrowing down to one was tough, but I'm going with Bhu's Pembunuh.

Could you expand on this? Which were the other 3 (or more) and what especially attracted you to them? Remember this contest is about improving ourselves, so details are valuible whenever people can come up with them.

Why elaborate? Everything you need to know is in his post, IE: He prefered my race to yours.

Now, I vote for the Mepholk. I'd never play them, but I think DracoDei got something interesting there.

This wasn't directed directly to me, but here's my breakdown of my favorite few.

DracoDei's Mepholk: I like the fluff a lot, but some of the mechanics just seemed a little weird. If I had been keeping up with this competition much I might have had a few suggestions for the chat thread, but alas I've been a little slack about reading over the entries. Particularly, the Intimidate as a class skill only for certain classes seems weird, the inclusion of NPC classes as Favored Classes, and the first half of the Spray ability's paragraph were kinda strange (especially regarding it counting as a bow/manufactured weapon AND natural weapon and being able to use flurry/manyshot/rapid show with the Spray).

Guyr Adamantine's Gridoll: I do love me some frog/toad folk (see Swampgas for more info, including my Kermit-inspired frogfolk :smalltongue:), and this was one of my top two. I liked both the mechanics and the fluff, and the feats were particularly cool (especially the camouflage ones). Indeed, you can feel free to post it over in the Swampgas thread if you feel like it - I'm sure everyone involved would like it.

Bhu's Pembunuh: These guy are just cool, and I'd actually consider putting them in a campaign. Also, I think the racial penchant towards no clothing pushed them ahead, earning my vote. :smallwink: Well, that and the fact that the fluff and crunch were all great.

Sir Shadow's Xintri: I don't know much about Incarnum, having never read the book myself, but the LE bent of the society is cool and I REALLY like their naming customs. They were cool, but some of the others just happened to appeal to me a little more. If I knew more about Incarnum I might have given them another few looks.

Guess I never DID explain that... basically any combat oriented class (full BAB) is is going to go for their racial heritage abilities (including turning the tide of battle through getting the enemy to run away), and being a function of the body/mind without NEED for augmentation, monks would definitely do so, and any class associated with "getting back to nature" would also tend to know how to "get in touch with their inner foot stamper" (skunks will stamp as a warning sign)... hope that makes it clearer...

PS: Almost forget... the thing with the favored classes was just something I threw in to give them human or better versitility in that area, so there wouldn't be a hole in their philosophical arguments for wanting to "upgrade" human bloodlines.

grr... tough choices... and I never vote for myself <_<

for me, it's a toss-up between Mepholk and Gridoll.

Pembunuh are pretty cool, but just lack something in my eyes compared to these two. Purple are also interesting, I think I'd like to play them.

>__< aaaand. my vote is for...

Gridoll

... <_<;;; what? I like frogs... attacking tongue + eating foes FTW!!!

A tough competition, I was torn between ghost folk and Gridolls, the frogmen.

in the end, I'm gonna have to go with the froggie men. And kudos on the artwork for it.

Ok, ego is back to full boost now.

Being that he's all undeadish I'm sure it won't bother him any.

On the other hand I have difficulty reconciling a warforged with the Half-Carebear template...

Being that he's all undeadish I'm sure it won't bother him any.

On the other hand I have difficulty reconciling a warforged with the Half-Carebear template...

When you kill a Carebear and consume his heart, you connect to the source of his happy-powers. As the various kind of Carebears show us, the nature of the given powers vary by the individual. Good creatures are blessed with the power of joy, slowly shifting into magic ewoks, while evil creatures only obtain more destructive powers, too proud of their shapes to be transformed.

I am a Chaotic Evil warforged.

May I quote myself and explain where you have been wronged:

*Shoot a Carebear love-beam from his chest toward Silence*

It is powered by love. I was hoping it would have a placebo effect on Silence, but it really just give people cancer.
