I've always assumed that you gain a feat every level, but after searching the srd i've found no mention of this. Help.

What game system? In D&D 3.5 you get a feat on 1st level, 3rd level, and every 3 levels thereafter (6th, 9th etc)

Feat are based on Hit Dice (HD). You gain a feat for every third HD and one for the first. Certain classes grant bonus HD.

Thus a 7th level human fighter has 3 feats from HD and 4 bonus fighter feats and 1 bonus feat from being human.

A 7th level elven sorcerer has 3 feats from HD.

You have one feat at first level, another if you're human, and another at every level divisible by three, not including those that are bonus features of classes, such as the monk, ranger, and fighter.

Now gimme a dollar.

EDIT: Darn! Double-ninja'ed. I still want the dollar.

That was no small feat you pulled off there...

You still aren't entitled to any popcorn though.

Well, I did put my heart and sole (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/0b/Big-shoe-Tricycles-vehicle.jpg/800px-Big-shoe-Tricycles-vehicle.jpg) into it.

If you really want a feat every level, you could play a Fighter under Paizo's revamp of 3.5. I believe you can still get the .pdf for free from their website

This way you'll run out of useful feats even faster, though.

Or you could just play a druid. Then you don't need a feat every level, because you can win the game with just one.

Unless you're playing ToH. The only one that wins at ToH is the guy who doesn't go in in the first place.

The Druid may not get a feat at every level, but he does get a class special ability at every level.

Mmmmmmmmmmm ... Druids. I've loved 'em since 1E ... :smallcool:
