Anyone here from Berlin?

I may soon be moving out to the capital of Deutschland, living the good ol' UK behind me finally, and was wondering if anyone here had anything to say of the city? Stories, impressions, tips on good ways to meet people, advice on job hunting, all that good stuff? Lay it on me, etc.!

Also, if anyone knows any cunning ways to get by with only a very passing knowledge of German that would be knowledge like goldust! :smallbiggrin:

As a whole the Germans are very good english speakers, though if you are going to live there you really ought to learn the lingo Tom.

Oh and the best way to learn German fast is with a German girlfriend, plus it's fun, too!

one of our exchange students last year was from berlin. But i didn't see him much so I dont know anything about the city. Sorry.
