Neutral Good- A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. My alignment is consistently true neutral. Unfortunately, being unbiased doesn't seem to go well with others when you tell people the truth. It tends to make people who are your friends... well, not like you when you don't see the point in white lies.

Not even a little bit surprised by my results:

Lawful Neutral- A lawful neutral character acts as law, tradition, or a personal code directs him. Order and organization are paramount to him. He may believe in personal order and live by a code or standard, or he may believe in order for all and favor a strong, organized government. Lawful neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you are reliable and honorable without being a zealot. However, lawful neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it seeks to eliminate all freedom, choice, and diversity in society.

Lawful neutral: Gil Grissom from CSI.
True neutral: Niccolo Machiavelli.
Chaotic neutral: Matt from Death Note (very minor character).
Lawful evil: Darth Vader from Star Wars.

Kaihaku is Neutral Good bordering on Chaotic Good mainly because most of the laws out there support evil in some way.

Neutral Good- A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. It seems as I grow up I become slightly less chaotic. Which doen't seem to jive well with my tendency to do stuff without too much justification, simply because I feel like it or it feels right. Still, according to the testI have gone from Chaotic Good to Neutral Good.

Chaotic Neutral.. which is funny 'cause i usually play CN charcters

Chaotic Neutral- A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom from both society's restrictions and a do-gooder's zeal. However, chaotic neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it seeks to eliminate all authority, harmony, and order in society.

I'd like to add that I don't like how the survey is set up. It just doesn't give enough choice I think.
EDIT: Or offer the right reasons.

It says I'm lawful good, which I could see... But there are just too many ways I could pushed to chaos, if the test would offer those ways.

Also, I'd be in the >18 intelligence category when it's related to alignment, though I wouldn't be founding kingdoms, or any of the nonsense they've mentioned there. I'd be writing books. (And do hope to.)

In all honesty, that site is a load of...

Yes, I've taken the test before and as before, I'm still True Neutral and hold up my Neutrallest itP award high. ((although you'll have to look at Lykan's sig to see it...))

True Neutral- A true neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most true neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil after all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, he's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some true neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. True neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion. However, true neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction.

RabbitHoleLost

I, however, apparently AM. :smalleek:

Chaotic Evil- A chaotic evil character does whatever his greed, hatred, and lust for destruction drive him to do. He is hot-tempered, vicious, arbitrarily violent, and unpredictable. If he is simply out for whatever he can get, he is ruthless and brutal. If he is committed to the spread of evil and chaos, he is even worse. Thankfully, his plans are haphazard, and any groups he joins or forms are poorly organized. Typically, chaotic evil people can be made to work together only by force, and their leader lasts only as long as he can thwart attempts to topple or assassinate him. Chaotic evil is sometimes called demonic because demons are the epitome of chaotic evil. Chaotic evil is the best alignment you can be because combines self-interest and pure freedom. However, chaotic evil can be a dangerous alignment because it represents the destruction not only of beauty and life but also of the order on which beauty and life depend.

No, I think the only time I said I would have murdered someone was the "King" or whatever. The poison option.
And I said if I could get away with it.

And it wasn't solid. My second option was Chaotic Good which was ONE point below Chaotic Evil.

Just so everyone knows, this is actually a WotC-designed test; it was originally printed in the back of the Hero Builder's Guidebook and is available on the Wizards site. It's easier to be Chaotic when the Authorities oppress you. If you follow the rules somewhat because you have no real reason to break them... maybe you tend towards Chaotic but you don't actually have to be, so you're placed in Neutral.

In reality, people's behaviour patterns aren't easily predicted by a chart. :smalltongue:

Neutral Good.

Well, this test works. Slightly more on Law than Chaos (but way more on Neut, obviously) I think mainly because I answered fairly patriotically - however some questions beg more depth, like the ones about your nation depend on what nation your in, as well as those about your community (for an inveterate traveller both these concepts have little depth), and some your motivation is not noted - like wether you'd admit to guilt. I probably would if I wasn't trying to avoid the whole trial for one or another reason.

You Are:

Chaotic Good

Chaotic Good- A chaotic good character acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him. He makes his own way, but he's kind and benevolent. He believes in goodness and right but has little use for laws and regulations. He hates it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. He follows his own moral compass, which, although good, may not agree with that of society. Chaotic good is the best alignment you can be because it combines a good heart with a free spirit. However, chaotic good can be a dangerous alignment because it disrupts the order of society and punishes those who do well for themselves.

That Batman poster is amazing.

Also, also this is a good quiz, I think the "Final Result" can be flawed. If someone gets, say, 9 Good answers and 10 Evil, and 9 Lawful Answers and 10 Chaotic, they show up as Chaotic Evil even if they're only two points away from Lawful Good. It doesn't compromise, it just tells you what you're the absolute most of, which doesn't always represent your true alignment. That, and only you can know what's in your heart for sure, not a quiz.

Yeah, but it's still a good quiz. :smalltongue:

It told me Lawful Neutral but I tied for Lawful Neutral and Lawful Good. I actually got no points in evil, which made me laugh. As one friend said about me:

"You are one of the kindest, most considerate people I know. You are always there to listen or be a shoulder to cry one if anybody needs it. People talk to you and they feel so much better. So why are you such an @$$hole?

Basics
Chaotic Evil Human Sorcerer (10th Level)

Ability Scores:
Strength- 19
Dexterity- 20
Constitution- 20
Intelligence- 20
Wisdom- 20
Charisma- 19

Alignment:

Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Class:
Sorcerers- Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast.

Chaotic neutral with a tendency to true neutral. As I expected

Ability Scores:
Strength- 13
Dexterity- 15
Constitution- 16

I don't really like this one, though. I used to take a much better version all the time, and I was almost always a Chaotic Neutral Half-orc Barbarian or Ranger. There was also a much better and in-depth test I found once for your stats. It had an actual IQ type test for part of your INT score, so I trust it a lot more.

OK, here's an object lesson: The evil people on here are almost certainly not murderers. They probably don't torture puppies. I seriously doubt they're anywhere near as over-the-top as an evil D&D character.

So why is it that every time we play evil characters, there's this urge to make EVERY action scream, "I'm Evil!!"?

nothingclever
2008-08-12, 08:59 PM
Because if we took those actions in everyday life we'd probably get in a lot of trouble or have to worry about constant looks of disapproval since we're acting so politically incorrect even though plenty of people secretly want to do whatever "evil" thing you're doing.

Collin152

No marks for Evil, and 2 for Chaos... only like 5 or 6 each for the neutrals...

True Neutral, which is what I always consider myself. Leaning towards Lawful and Good tendencies of course.

Never took this type of thing before. I honestly thought I was chaotic neutral, or at least chaotic good.

You Are:

Neutral Good

Neutral Good- A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment because because it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable.

Lawful Evil

Lawful Evil- A lawful evil villain methodically takes what he wants within the limits of his code of conduct without regard for whom it hurts. He cares about tradition, loyalty, and order but not about freedom, dignity, or life. He plays by the rules but without mercy or compassion. He is comfortable in a hierarchy and would like to rule, but is willing to serve. He condemns others not according to their actions but according to race, religion, homeland, or social rank. He is loath to break laws or promises. This reluctance comes partly from his nature and partly because he depends on order to protect himself from those who oppose him on moral grounds. Some lawful evil villains have particular taboos, such as not killing in cold blood (but having underlings do it) or not letting children come to harm (if it can be helped). They imagine that these compunctions put them above unprincipled villains. Some lawful evil people and creatures commit themselves to evil with a zeal like that of a crusader committed to good. Beyond being willing to hurt others for their own ends, they take pleasure in spreading evil as an end unto itself. They may also see doing evil as part of a duty to an evil deity or master. Lawful evil is sometimes called diabolical, because devils are the epitome of lawful evil. Lawful evil is the best alignment you can be because it combines honor and dedicated self-interest. However, lawful evil can be a dangerous alignment because it represents methodical, intentional, and frequently successful evil.

Murder is hardly the most evil thing a person can do...

I got CN on that test, but I class myself as Neutral (Chaotic) Good (the test isn't very accrate if I'm anything to go by; most people would agree that I'm Good aligned).

EDIT: The stats were also really inaccurate for me; it underestimated my Dex, Con and Int slightly while giving me positive Str and Wis modifiers for some reason.

Yeah, there's plenty of other things evil people can do to be... well, evil, than murder. :P

They can steal little kids' lollipops! :smallamused:

My thoughts tend to be a bit more sinister. :smalltongue:I'm too silly to be evil, as you can see.

Unless you make me mad. Revenge is a dish best served cold. :smallwink:

I did the test for my D&D character/main character in the story I'm writing, and got Neutral Good leaning towards Chaos, which is pretty much how I envisioned him.

I took the test a few days ago. I don't have the exact points, but it was a pretty easy pattern so I still remember it :P
CN -> N -> LN -> CG -> NG -> LG -> CE -> NE -> LE

The rest are in the spoiler of my sig :P (human wizard)

Well, I usually see myself as Lawful Neutral with Chaotic Good ideals.

Test gave me Chaotic Neutral tied with Chaotic Good

Now THAT'S funny.

I wouldn't, but that's because I don't have to balls to do those sort of illegal things. :smallamused:

Killing people... just isn't a good option for me. :smalltongue:
