I'd like it to be a semi-side view of her, so you can see her holding out the sword and you can see both her eyes. The wind should be blowing her hair so that it goes towards her sword, perferably behind it. She should be in a battle-ready stance from this position. Her face should show seriousness and a stern sense, though she isn't angry.

I would like it if you could fix the cloak. The blue hues do work well enough, but they seem...I don't know, redundant? Maybe blue & green? Colors work, though, so that change isn't necessary.

that too, but the gif export of my drawing program does weird things with colours sometimes. Also, 'light reddish-brown' has proved to be a non-existant colour :smallwink:

One question... Shaded... or Non-Shaded?Well you *are* a member of that coalition of shading-people, so it seems it would be a bit gauche to ask for an avatar and then request it to be done in a style the artist doesn't prefer. Plus, doesn't shading add depth?


Oh, and have you got any pictures of a "Fighting Lamp"? I'm not entirely sure what is :(I call it a "Fighting Lantern" Because it's made out of metal, and Dmitri uses it to parry when he fences. It's a swordsman's school called Larsen, if you've ever seen the Michael York/Christopher Lee lantern fight from the Three Musketeers film with those two as D'artagnan and Rochefort respectively, then you've seen a fighting lantern, if not:

This is sort of the general idea. When you want to sneak around, you keep the lid shut. Then you flip it open by pushing a thumb lever, and the light comes out through an aperture so as to direct it like a flashlight. So then you can focus the light in one area. It's excellent for sneaking around, thieving, or blinding people in a fight.

Instead of that sort of handle, though, it would have more of a tea-kettle handle. You know, where the tea kettle has a spout, but you can push the little thumb lever atop the handle, and the lid pops open? Almost like a pistol grip, for ease of use.

Well, it--of course--looks super awesome, and I am super excited! Two or three little things. Is it possible to get a smallish curled up moustache without making his face look wierd? This is a small issue, so if it won't work I am more than happy to forget it, he looks cool enough as it is.

Second question: Can his sword be a little busier...see, it's a Castillian Soldano Sword (7th Sea for "From the Spanish province that makes the best swords"), a family heirloom of this character's dead friend "Richaud de'Montalban". The name of the Sword is "El Baile con el Diablo." I like that it's gold instead of the typical gray, but those filthy Castillians have to make everything so gaudy. Is it possible to get a design on the hilt? Or something that says: "Gee, this sword sure looks like a super-special sword. It sure looks like some master swordsmith made a super awesome sword, and then made the hilt all gaudy, just to counterpoint how well-made the blade itself is."

Third Question: Would some shoes that match the ensemble be asking too much?

Nayaire Aisherr, NE druid: My character, and current leader of the party. Nayaire is a tall human with shoulder-length black hair. He usually wears leather armor made from reptile scales and a green cloak to meld with the forest's colors. He also keeps Kit, his pet fleshraker, at his side at all times.
Pose: Sly, predatorial grin, shilellaged staff in his right hand, and brambles twisting magically around the other hand. Kit curling around him or by his side.

Olaf "Destroyer" Ironhill, CE Crusader: Main meleer of the group, and a total psychopath. Olaf is a brown-haired, highly-muscled dwarf, usually stuck in a bloodstained spiky fullplate. Most notable is his greataxe, which is lined with black adamantium in various scary shapes.
Pose: Looks eager to jump into the fray, smiling from anticipating all the killing. Has his axe resting across his shoulders.

Trosky Stonehard, CN Psywarrior: Secondary meleer, and about as bright as Fighter from 8-bit Theatre. Trosky is a very tall half giant with tanned skin and brown hair, and is equipped with a polished plate armor (he polishes it when he gets bored :P) and a greatsword so big it would make Cloud Strife look surprised.
Pose: A bit to the side, gazing distractedly into space, not really noticing the world around him.

...Tim, NE Wizard (yeah, the "..." is included in the name too :smallwink:, he wanted to pay a little homage to Monty Python with his first Wiz): Takes care of all things arcane, and is our resident powerhungry spellcaster. ...Tim is a human of average height and little physical presence, with pale skin and dark short hair. He wears a simple dark brown robe with a hood, since he doesn't really care about attire, and a crossbow in his back "just in case".
Pose: Looking focused, serious, and a bit pissed off, hands sparking with magic energy, and surrounded by mirror images of himself.

Im also looking for an avatarist to draw me a Kolyarut Inevitable (Dont know what im talking about? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inevitable) with glowing yellow eyes. He (it would be a he) would have some sort of blades (sword style or saw style, dosnt matter) on his wrists rather than the sword his type of inevitable usualy have. could anyone out there make a Kython avatar? I am easily one of the worst artists around and have found only three images of kythons ANYWHERE and two were in the Book of Vile Darkness, so I fear that I'm the only one that thinks they kick ass. so any avatars of kythons will be greatly appreciated.

what I had in mind was an evolved kython I had used in one of my campaigns that caused absolute hell for the PCs while they quested... mostly just creeping the hell out of them... providing incentive to kill the warlord that started the experiments that caused its evolution... and killing their meatshield... but anyways, it looks like a typical Adult Kython except it has:

- a long, stinger-tipped tail
- color-shifting chittin (think camoflage)
- a Kython-weapon in/attatched to each arm
-- Boneblade in upper right claw (bone white with thin red and blue veins covering the sides)
-- Mucus pod on upper left arm (pod attatched to the arm with a tube going to the claw)
-- Acid spitter in lower right claw (looks like a repeating crossbow but with a green acid-filled membrane where the clip would be)
-- Bone shard crossbow in lower left claw (as a repeating crossbow made of carpace and catilage)
- has the (agonizingly annoying to PCs) ability to become incorporeal as a free action
- and has a small mouth launcher inside its mouth that can be extended out to 10' (if shown, it looks like a worm with a sphincterlike mouth. and I swear, I didn't rip off aliens with that idea, it's a kython weapon in B.O.V.D.)

as for its pose... i got nuthin'... whatever you think'd be cool.

Alright, I've been around for a while and have finally decided to ask for avvies of some of my RP characters to put in my signature. First: Armando Perez d'Tomasillo, Radiant Servant of Pelor.

Name: Armando Perez d'Tomasillo

Build: 6' 2", about 200 pounds
Gender: Male
Equipment: Billiant silver chainmail (Celestial Armor), mithral heavy shield with holy symbol of Pelor, heavy mace. He usually wears a white tabard with gold trim and the holy symbol of Pelor on the front. Due to out-of-game events, he now wears a black tabard, black bandanna, and covers the device on his shield. I'll leave it up to the artist to choose whether or not to do one, the other, or both.

I have a rather large request. I (and a few others actually) would like to have a sig sized group portrait done of our PBP gaming group

Ricgar Bearfang: Ricgar stands at 6'1, a head taller than most of the party, and seems relatively thin, though what skin is shown shows obvious muscle. His hair is long, down to his shoulders, and straight, after exerting himself one can see him sometimes trying to blow the hair away from his face, usually with minimal success. His eyes are rounded and the irises themselves are a dark blue. His nose would be considered larger than normal, but not excessively so, it looks like it was broken once, but was put back into place, healing nicely and showing only a little deformation. Ricgar currently is sporting a shadow of a beard, which is as black as his hair. A faint smell of leaves and the outdoors is about him. His skin is a tanned color (he'd be most like a Native American)

Ricgar wears a dirty brown long sleeved shirt, which covers most of his body, on top of which is now a finely made chain shirt, the chain links being rather small. Ricgars pants are of a lighter beige color and now sport a few scorched holes in them. His boots are made of some sort of leather and look well worn and used.

Pose: To the far left or right, with his axe (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2423&page=11)slung on his shoulder, and in his right hand a shield

Constance: She barely looks twenty years old, if that. She's moderately tall (I wrote 5'9" on my character sheet) and in very good shape from all the treks in the forest. She has long, wavy brown hair tied in a pony tail with a simple leather thong. She really seems more concerned about keeping her hair off her face than anything else. Her eyes are green with hints of gold and her skin is lightly tanned, once again a consequence of her life style.

Her clothes are of the practical, durable, simple kind although they do fit her well and are pretty clean, except maybe for some dirt on her boots and on the bottom of her pants (and all the blood for the fight but let's not dwell on that). Same thing for her leather armor, which fits her well but probably isn't as fitted and corsetted as Mika's. What she wears in general isn't thought out to hide her curves, nor to accentuate them. Not that she has that many of those anyway.

Pose: Towards the center, holding a shortbow with anarrow nocked (sp?)

Gen: Clothed in a pair of white breeches and tunic that both bear the symbol of Aegor the lanky youth could be mistaken for a missionary if not for the large sword he kept strapped across his back, yet the dirt the crusts his traveling clothes make it unlikely his is a paladin of any order.

Up close you can see the man is probably not even twenty yet. He has black hair, that has been cut short but is slowly growing out. His pack is small, carrying little more than a bedroll and a few traveling provisions, it's also not particularly tidy. His eyes, a sharp green, scan the room and each of you as he nerveously shuffles his feet. The sword is old and worn, chipped and dented in several places, but sharpened and clearly well cared for, even if it is perhaps older than its bearer.

Pose: On another side, his hand on the hilt of his sword

Pose: Confident, a buckler on her left arm, and in her right arm a rapier, like in an 'en garde' position, close to one of the ends

Alistair: You see a scrawny lad with shaggy brow hair on top of a round, mischevious face. Upon the bridge of his nose rest a pair of thick, brass rimmed glasses which he pushes closer to his face with a slender hand. he wears loose fitting black trousers, a white shirt that apears to be smeared with some kind of mechanical grease and no shoes to speak of. Overtop of his shirt is an open, light brown, leather coat that comes down past his knees.

You see his belt is covered with multitudes of little pouches and small tools icluding screwdrivers, pliers, picks and even a small saw. with his left hand he adjusts the straps across his shoulder, one is that of a backpack, which clinks and rattles as it moves, and the other is a holster for a crossbow that looks like it has been polished and shined to a gleaming state.

Pose: With a smirk in the center, with a large (for a halfling) crossbow heldat his shoulder, likely the other hand (if feasible) pushing up his glasses

Raven: A short and slim clergyperson stands out, her monk-like robes somewhat dirty and wrinkled, though it's apparent her travels were easier than most. Hanging from her belt is an ornate sword scabbard, holding a simple longsword that is in too good condition to have seen much use outside of practice. She has a slim, narrow face, forest green eyes, sleek dark hair, and the tell-tale elven ears, which have several metallic piercings along the elongated point. Has a necklace that goes underneath her shirt.

Pose: Towards the center also, likely in a prayer position.

I know it's a big job and a LOT of detail, but many thanks to whoever does it

If possible at this point, I'd like her to be drawn with a longbow on her back instead of a sword; she recently abandoned the sword and was given the bow, and due to mechanical and role-playing reason, will probably stay exclusive to the bow. Her 'real' holy symbol is an iron outstretched hand with a sun in the palm, hanging from a leather thong around her neck.

anyways here's a repost of my request



what I had in mind was an evolved kython I had used in one of my campaigns that caused absolute hell for the PCs while they quested... but anyways, it looks like a typical Adult Kython except it has:

- a long, stinger-tipped tail
- color-shifting chittin (think camoflage)
- a Kython-weapon in/attatched to each arm (see below... the ones with--)
-- Boneblade in upper right claw (bone white with thin red and blue veins covering the sides)
-- Mucus pod on upper left arm (pod attatched to the arm with a tube going to the claw)
-- Acid spitter in lower right claw (looks like a repeating crossbow but with a green acid-filled membrane where the clip would be)
-- Bone shard crossbow in lower left claw (as a repeating crossbow made of carpace and catilage)
- has the (agonizingly annoying to PCs) ability to become incorporeal as a free action
- and has a small mouth launcher inside its mouth that can be extended out to 10' (if shown, it looks like a worm with a sphincterlike mouth. and I swear, I didn't rip off aliens with that idea, it's a kython weapon in B.O.V.D.)

as for its pose... i got nuthin'... whatever you think'd be cool.

even an average adult kython will do if the above request cannot/will not be done... please...

Male Elf, Fighter

Medium Brown Hair, parted along the left, very well kept, and looks like a lot of time is spend keeping it presentable.

Sky Blue Eyes

Possesses a pair of brown Eagle wings, usually kept in a position to keep them concealed.

Wears no Armor, finds that it inconveniences his movement too much (in D&D termology, his DEX score is too high), but does wear very regal vestments of a deep green color with interlaced gold trim. In the front of the vestments is a Firefalcon (2nd edition monster, best to describe this creature would be a Mini-Phoenix).

Also wears a long, flowing, metallic silver dueling cloak. While somewhat bulkier than the usual cloak, it manages to provide the same level of movement without hindering him. He usually keeps the cloak wrapped around the shoulders, with the front-most part reaching around his arms.

Wields a Longsword made of Aurorium, a material that bears the same weight and density as steel, yet can be reformed when broken, so long as the pieces are assembled and placed back in place (Roy really needed this type of weapon awhile back ^_~). Small Elfish runes mark down the center of the blade, and glow with a blue light when held by an Elf. The weapon is also bathed in white flames.

Also wields a Gauntlet crafted of Adamantine in the right hand. Emblazoned on the gauntlet is the Holy Symbol of Corellon, a Crescent moon.

Personality: He is a young elf, acquiring the status of Lord at a very young age, as compared to other Elvin lords. Because of these two factors, he tends to be a little arrogant when in combat. Also, he tends to be aloof in social situations, sometimes not using the right term or not presenting the most appealing social decision. Other than these shortfalls, he acts with the air of an Elvin noble, both regal and compassionate.

Combat: Fights wielding a Longsword and Gauntlet. He relies on his superior speed, and uncanny reflexes to strike quick, and return to a defensible position. I hope that the positioning of the avatar can reflect this.

'Allo, all. Just thought I'd pop in to see if someone would be as kind as to attempt a picture is pretty much entirely OOTS-style scene that is somewhat like the scene found at the following link so I could put it into my signature.

The only major differences would be:

1) An alternate flying yuan-ti if possible(no flying carpet).

2) A few variations as far interpretation of all of the yuan-ti looks go (if you happen to have Forgotten Realms: Serpent Kingdoms, it would be an invaluable resource for this purpose) and instead of them fighting gargoyles and winning, they are fighting any of the following and still winning anyway:

humans
elves
halflings
humans/halflings
halflings/dwarves

3) The feeling of the scenery as you see fit if it is needed to make an overall better quality effect such as said scenery taking up too much room, being too light-coloured, too dark-coloured, etc. So in other words, this one is of course completely up to you and I certainly would not have any qualms with any artistic changes you would deem preferable, necessary, etc.


All in all, I hope someone is able to take on this admittedly complex (as far as things like this go, anyway) project and thank you for your time.

If anyone wants to make an easy avatar, I have one. He's a half-elf anarchic monk (chaotic monk). He's really pale, has a long black mohawk, and one golden eye that glows. He dresses in black karate clothes, with an anarchy symbol (capital A in a circle) over his heart. He has a golden chain-link belt, and a sai with a gold blade. I would like the pose to be one leg out and one curled in (flying kick). If you can manage, his teeth are filed to points.

That's actually crayon. I sketch them in pencil then crayon them over. I usually do fiddle with the color saturation a little digitally, because my scanner is pretty low quality.

The other details which may be included: a mace, a holy symbol of Waukeen, a chain shirt(Elaina thinks heavy armor is not for girls ), a cloak of winter-wolf fur (or of real aurumvorax fur, if you don't object to hunting rare species), and a lot of jewelery.
