Iron Avatarist
First, just a quick word about the small, but important, change to the Iron Avatarist Contest. Like the Design Contests just down the hall, IA is now run by the GitP Website Staff. Very little will change on the face of the contest, but hopefully the contests will be started and ended (and awards given out) in a more timely manner. We'll try to keep one contest running at all times and get your results out to you before the next contest ends. We'll be making other changes to make the contest more efficient and more fun. For the most part it’ll be business as usual, but I think you’ll like the changes we do make. And if you have any ideas on how to improve the contest, just drop me a PM or post it on the Suggestion Thread (http://www.giantitp.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=arts;action=display;num=1154056220;s tart=0). And we are reading it - so get your suggestions in!

This contest's theme is Musicians!

That means you will be drawing Musicians in the OOTS style and/or drawing characters from OotS universe cosplay (dress up) as Musicians. Your musicians can be generic renditions (e.g. “a pianist”) or a rendition of a specific person (e.g. “Elvis”). Note there is a special category for album covers rendered in the OOTS style.

(I'm aware that there was a "Band" contest a while back, but that was under the old open voting format, which was under-participated in and under-voted upon.)

And of course, there is going to be a First through Third place of the following:

Best Musician
Best Band (>1 Person = Group)
Best Album Cover
Best OotS Character as a Musician
Best OotS Group as a Band

There can be only one…Best Overall award.

And, of course, the Roland’s Choice Award will go to the avatarist's creation that most appeals to my, admittedly whimsical, sensibilities.

There will probably be another Super-Secret Special Guest Judge's Award, for the favorite entry of our super-secret guest judge.

Every entry must include a bolded introduction as to what category you are trying to enter in.

Only the avatarist who created the avatar may submit it.
However, you may submit old creations as long as they have never been entered into an Iron Avatar Thread before. It does not have to be something made specifically for this thread.

All entries must be completed by Saturday, September 30th, at 12 am EST. That is Saturday evening, Sunday morning at midnight U.S. Eastern Standard Time. (And that's two whole weeks!)
