I'm very sorry to hear that.

It sounds like your grandfather's death was quite sudden, so it must have been a terrible shock for you and your family.

My condolences and thoughts for you all.

I'm glad to hear that, as I've lost all grandparents either to the sands of time or the fact that they weren't much of grandparents.

Thats the worst part of getting old. Knowing that sooner or later, people are not going to be there anymore. I'm hoping the grandparents I have left turn out to be immortal.

Real sorry about this man :smallfrown:

I'm so sorry for your loss, thubby :smallfrown:

I didn't know either of my grandfathers, but my grandma did have a... well, I guess you could call him a boyfriend. He really did his best to be a grandpa to me and my sister, and he did great. He died of lung cancer a few years ago, and I still miss him terribly. Christmas and birthdays haven't been the same without him.

My condolences dude, I lost a grandfather to cancer earlier in the year...

The real question at this stage is how do you need to deal with it, because some people work best with time to think it over etc. whereas other people (myself included) need to avoid spending too much time on it, or they'll break down...

I just hope he's in a better place now.

Thunder at twilight
A bed of ash and dust
Mourn with tears
But rejoice the memories
Your grandsire's voice,
Silent, shall not fall
His smile shall sing on
Through your heart and hands
His wisdom shall live on
Fret not for his kind old soul
In Paradise, with angels
His wine, he sips

I feel for you. My great grandmother died a few weeks ago too. She was sick for a long time, but she was still witty.
