I constructed some new powers and feats for Fax Celestis' Medium (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59250). (I should probably note that The Demented One has made some stuff for the Medium (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82739) that is, as usual, excellent).

Empathy with the Dead
Psychometabolism
Level: Medium 1
Display: Material
Manifesting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Close
Target: One incorporeal undead creature or
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless)
Power Resistance: No
Power Points: 1

This power is similar to that of Empathic Transfer but transfer the pain of an incorporeal creature into pain on your own living, breathing flesh. When you manifest this power, you can heal up to 1d6 points of damage. The target regains a number of hit points equal to the dice result, and you lose hit points equal to half of that amount. (This loss can bring you to 0 or fewer hit points.) Powers and abilities you may have such as damage reduction and regeneration do not lessen or change this damage, since you are taking the target’s pain into yourself in an empathic manner. The damage transferred by this power has no type, so even if you have immunity to the type of damage the target originally took, the transfer occurs normally and deals hit point damage to you.

Augment
You can augment this power in one of the following ways:
1. If you pay an additional 4 power points this power can effect undead that are corporeal.
2. If you pay an additional 6 power points this power can effect corporeal undead and living creatures also.
3. If you pay an additional 8 power points this power can effect any creature, even constructs. If you pay this augment you may also use this power to clean up a corpse, repairing its wounds. This only removes serious wounds. It does not halt or reduce decay nor does it give any semblance of life. At best if used on a recently slain body it may make the corpse resemble a sleeping individual.

For every additional power point you spend, you can heal an additional 1d6 points of damage (to a maximum of 10d6 points per manifestation).

Comment: This power is intended to give you an easy way of healing your psiumbral.

Forge Connection
Telepathy
Level: Medium 6
Display: Auditory, mental, and visual
Manifesting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Close
Target: 1 intelligent incorporeal undead creature
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Will negates
Power Resistance: None
Power Points: 11, 50 XP

Your eyes flicker as you reach out and give an undead the ability to convey some of its thoughts with the living.
Target intelligent incorporeal undead becomes psionic if it were not so already. It gains 1 additional power point to its pool (making its pool 1 point if it had none). It also gains the ability to manifest missive at manifester level equal to half its hit die (min 1).

XP cost: 50.

Augment
You can augment this power in one of the following ways:
1. If you pay an additional 4 points this power may target corporeal undead also.
2. If you pay 4 additional power points and 10 xp you increase the number of added power points by 1. You may use this augment multiple times.

Power of the Dead
Telepathy [Mind-Affecting]
Level: Medium 9
Display: Auditory, mental, and visual
Manifesting Time: 1 hour
Range: Touch
Target: One corpse
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: None
Power Resistance: No
Power Points: 17, XP; see text

Benefit: You gain knowledge of what powers were known to the target. If there were powers that was known to the target that you do not know you pick one of those powers. You gain knowledge of that power permanently, at a cost of 2000 xp per the level of the power. If the corpse had any powers not known to you you must choose one of them.

Seance
Clairsentience [Language Dependent]
Level: Medium 3, Seer 4
Display: Olfactory, Visual, Material
Manifesting Time: 1 minute
Range: Personal
Duration: 1 round/level
Saving Throw: Will negates (see text)
Power Resistance: Yes
Power Points: Medium 5, Seer 7, XP

The medium's eyes flicker, you smell a strange smell and around your hands you feel whisps of clammy ectoplasm clasp around your fingers. A voice emerges from the medium's mouth. It sounds like the voice of your dead friend, but hollow.

This is similar to Deathvoice. The manifester goes into a trance which
channels the dead individual's spirit which can answer questions asked to it. The medium is not aware of what is occuring during the manifestation, nor what questions are asked or answered. Those present are able to ask up to 1 question per a manifester level before the power expires. Manifesting this power leaves the manifester exhausted and a manifester cannot manifest this power if they are fatigued or exhausted. The power can only be
manifested at night. The intended dead being may make a will save if it does
not wish to appear but if it does so it is compelled to answer any question it is asked to the best of its abilities. No one may manifest this power more than once for the same being within a week. If they attempt to do so, the power fails.

In order to manifest this power the medium must be holding hands in a circle
with at least 3 other beings. (Similar appendages such as tentacles will work
as well).

In order for this power to function you must satisfy one of the following
conditions:
1) Have at least one close relative or a direct descendant in the circle
2) Have present the corpse of the individual in question which must be placed within the circle.
3) Have in the circle a very close
friend of the deceased present (DM discretion as to what constitutes a close enough friend)
4) Be within 10 feet/manifester level of the location where the individual died.
5) Have successfully manifested this power on the targeted dead individual on a previous occasion.

If the medium themselves meets conditions 1 or 3 then your manifester level is increased by 1 for purposes of this power. If you have multiple of these conditions met then the DC for the will save goes up by 1.

Augment:
You can augment this power in one or both of the following ways:

1. If you pay an additional 2 power points the individual in the trance is aware of what is going on around them and may break out of the trance as a
standard action.
2. If someone in the circle satisfies conditions 1 or 3, the manifester may pay an additional 1 power point. The individual who goes into the trance is rather than the medium one of the individuals present satisfying those conditions. The individual is chosen by the manifester at the time of manifesting and they get a will save. If they make the save or do not in fact meet conditions 1 or 3 then the manifester instead goes into the trance.

For every 2 additional power points you pay , the DC for the will saves goes up by 1.

Skinride Other
Level: Medium 3
Display: Material
Manifesting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Target: One willing living creature
Duration: 1 min./level
Saving Throw: None
Power Resistance: Yes
Power Points: 5

Target creature touched is able to have your psiumbral skinride it. The creature may as a standard action force the psiumbral out. Doing so terminates the power's duration.

Augment
If you pay 2 additional power points this power may target non-willing creatures who then get a will save to negate. If this augment is used then the target must take a standard action and make a successful will save to force the psiumbral out. They may try to make this save any number of times.

XP cost: 15.
Note: This counts as a power similar to Deathvoice for purposes of Deathvoice if it is manifested using the corpse.

And now for your enjoyment new feats:

Call the Dead [Psionic]
Prerequisites: Able to manifest one medium power and one mind-affecting power (these may be the same power). For purposes of this feat a medium power is a power that a medium can manifest that is not on the normal psion/wilder list.
Benefit:
Your knowledge of the skills of a medium allow you to affect the minds of
undead. You may when manifesting a mind-affecting power expend psionic focus, if you do the power affects intelligent undead. If you use this ability any intelligent undead get an additional will save to negate the power, in addition to any saves they would normally get for that power.

Necromantic Potency [Psionic]
Prerequisite: Able to manifest at least one medium power, psicraft 5, Spellcraft 1
Benefit:

Your power as a medium is even more closely related to death than those of most mediums. You may when manifesting any medium power (that is a power specifically on the medium list or any power you manifest as a medium) choose to have that power count as if it were in the school of necromancy for all spells or affects that influence specific schools of magic. Note that it counts as a necromancy spell in addition to any other schools in the power falls. Thus, if you used a clairiesentience power against something that was immune to divination the power would fail even if you applied this feat.

Necromantic Learning [Psionic]
Prerequisite: Necromantic Potency, able to manifest a second level medium power.
Benefit: Pick a necromancy spell on the sorcerer/wizard list or on the cleric list. You gain that spell as a medium power. This works just like the erudite alternate class feature for taking spells as powers except as noted here: For expensive material components you must pay 1/25th their gp cost in
xp (minimum 1). Also, the caster level for all purposes other than duration and range is set as a default at the lowest level that the spell could be cast at. You may increase the effective caster level by by an augment that increases the caster level by 1 for every 1 power point you pay (as usual you cannot pay power points beyond your manifester level).
You can only use this on necromancy spells whose level is lower than the highest level medium power you know.
Special: You may take this feat multiple times. Each time it applies to a different spell.

Skinride Familiar [Psionic]
Prerequisite: Must have a psiumbral, must have a familiar.
Benefit: Your psiumbral may skinride your familiar. Also any affect that increases your effective class levels or either your psiumbral or your familiar count towards both. So for example, if you were wizard 1/medium 2 you would have the familiar of a 3rd level wizard and the psiumbral of a 3rd level medium.

Skinride Psicrystal [Psionic]:
Prerequisite: Must have a psiumbral, must have a psicrystal
Benefit: Your psiumbral may skinride your psicrystal. Also any affect that increases your effective class levels or either your psiumbral or your psicrystal count towards both. So for example, if you were telepath 1/medium 2 you would have the psicrystal of a 3rd level psion and the psiumbral of a 3rd level medium.
