I know I must have seen the rules for it somewhere, but can't find them now. Are there standard rules for alternate paladin mounts? The reason I ask is for some reason early this morning I came up with the idea of an ogre paladin of freedom with a triceratops as his mount (I need to stop eating spicy food before I go to bed apparently). I was trying to figure out how to do that exactly. Thanks playgrounders.

DMG page 204 apparently - for hippogriff, griffon, dire lion and a bunch of others.

Triceratops and other dinosaurs... Dragon magazine issue 351.

Sourced from crystal keep.

Incidentally, the paladin needs to be level 12 to get a triceratops mount, going by those rules.

SHARK. WITH PERMANENT FLIGHT.

And permanent air-breathing, too, come to think of it. Rather a useful thing, having a non-gasping mount.

Gelatinous Cube from the Arms and Equipment Guide. Theres also a bunch of other mounts in there like a giant bee.

I can't believe how fast this thread spawned such a host of awesome ideas. I had never checked that section of the AEG before, and now I'm sorry I didn't.

A Drakkensteed could be interesting. (Basically a draconic steed (Warhorse with dragon wings and superficial appearance to a dragon)
