A towering figure in a dark robe enters the room where you have been milling around sizing up the competition. His face is completely obscured by his hood. He raises both hands to get your attention and speaks in a deep voice.
Ghakal from the kingdom of Douglas and Snore Breakwind from the realm of Lord Quixotico. He pauses for you to identify yourselves.
You have been chosen to be the first. Prepare yourselves!
With that he brings his hands down and the two of you find yourself transported to the arena (http://excessivefreetime.org/arena/arena1.html)

OOC:
You've got time for one swift action and one standard action before you get transported in case you need to adopt a stance or activate an item.

On the map, green is open terrain, yellow is difficult terrain, red/brown is the cliffs

Opening post should have an initiative roll, anything you said after he called your name and what, if anything you did with the 'surprise round' before being transported. After that, start fighting in initiative order.

"Of all the warriors of my land, I am the greatest. I am here to secure our rightful place. I will not fail."

Standard: Start singing to Inspire Courage
Swift: Activate my Badge of Valor to increase the bonus
Current stance: Stance of Alacrity (stances can be maintained indefinitely even out of combat, so I was already in this when the announcement was called)

Initiative: [roll0]

Taste death! Taste it!"

Standard: Draw his Scimitars.

[roll0]

Full round: Activate Ring of the White Wyrm
Swift: Add Leading the Charge with Dual Stance
Free: Rage, activate Boots of Speed

I am now large size (Goliath Mountain Rage), occupying spaces I16-J17.

Forgot about maneuvers granted and dice rolls can't be edited in.

Maneuver not granted by the end of my turn: [roll0]

Also, I assumed weapons would be drawn already. My unarmed strike isn't all that much worse than my weapon, but do I need to spend a move action drawing my scimitar before I can use it?

((I don't think so... I just had nothing for Snore to do, so I figured to give him something to do.))

Snore eyes his opponent and moves across the arena. "Oh ho ho, you's a big one. This'll be fun fun fun!"

This round and every round hereafter, Snore will designate Ghakal as the target for Dodge, giving Snore a +1 to AC versus him.

Standard action: Total Defense
This makes Snore's AC versus Ghakal 40.
Move action: Move to V27.

"This should give you something to not snore about." With that Ghakal takes off, sprinting across the arena towards his opponent on footsteps of fire, not quite touching the ground. He unleashes a savage series of mighty slices immediately on arrival.

Swift: Raging Mongoose
Full Round: Searing Charge

As Searing Charge lets me fly for the moment, I can ignore the difficult terrain in the way. I have pounce, so I get to full attack at the end. Haste + Whirling Frenzy + Raging Mongoose = 4 bonus attacks, plus the normal 3 from BAB.

Attack 1: [roll0] Damage 1: [roll1] Fire damage 1:[roll2]
Attack 2: [roll3] Damage 2: [roll4] Fire damage 2:[roll5]
Attack 3: [roll6] Damage 3: [roll7] Fire damage 3:[roll8]
Attack 4: [roll9] Damage 4: [roll10] Fire damage 4:[roll11]
Attack 5: [roll12] Damage 5: [roll13] Fire damage 5:[roll14]
Attack 6: [roll15] Damage 6: [roll16] Fire damage 6:[roll17]
Attack 7: [roll18] Damage 7: [roll19] Fire damage 7:[roll20]

If you manage to survive that, my AC vs you is 37 at the moment, you are my dodge target (already included in the 37), and I am in S24-T25.

The robed figure appears in the air ten feet above you. A brief, but bloody bout. He claps his hands and the body of Snore disappears. Ghakal is victorious and advances to the second round. He disappears again and a second later Ghakal finds himself back among those waiting for their bouts.

Snore wakes up a few seconds later surrounded by three men in robes of a similar style to the man who sent him into the ring, except their robes are white. You have been defeated, killed and revived. You will rest here and then can either be sent back to your homeland or you can attempt to renew your honor in some of the lesser games that will begin once other matches take place.

OOC:Ghakal is at the high end of the optimization spectrum of what I've seen so far
