They're going to be the worst for the year 10s who took exams this year.

I'm trying to avoid thinking about it, because when I do, I worry. I can think of something to worry about for every single subject, with the possible exception of Maths. So thanks for this topic :smalltongue:

The only subject i'm a little worried about is ICT. I kinda screwed up that exam.. badly. Which is slightly ironic, considering i'm on the computer 24/7 :smalltongue:

But yeah, like Z-Axis i'm just trying to avoid thinking about it. But thanks to this thread i'm thinking about it now. OH SNAP, I'M GONNA FAIL, I HATE YOU GUYS D:

Hehe, what can I say. I'm here to help. :smallamused:

Nah, i just wanted to know if there is anyone else who is worried, looks like there is. Good luck guys/girls.

I failed my IT GCSE. I didn't go to the exam. Or do the coursework.

Hardly the end of the world...

Although, the world DID end. It just started again relatively soon afterwards. In a completely literal sense, I mean. The world stopped turning on its axis and everything, it was quite odd that no one but me noticed.

Great Central School Exams?

What, my generic results thread not good enough for you? :smalltongue:
I've got a friend panicing about hers big time.
And I wouldn't worry about ICT. I didn't do anything in any lessons, and spent all my time reading wikipedia or starting philosophical discussions and generally being an arse to the teacher and I got a C.
God I miss that class...

GCSE???? :smallconfused:

Great Central School Exams?

GCSE. Year 10/11 exams. British exams. Key Stage Four. Those exams done before A levels.

iirc, OWLs?

GCSE???? :smallconfused:

Great Central School Exams?

General Certificate of Secondary Education. Tis a big exam in England (or a collection of exams anyway) It is the last exam of compulsory schooling.

What, my generic results thread not good enough for you? :smalltongue:

Heh, sorry, I thought that was for A levels, and Jibar, you are always good enough for me, though you don't know it yet. :smallwink::smalltongue:

Just wait till I see him next, I'll pinch all his chocolate chips. Fancy lying to us all for so long.
I'm sad Jibbers. Sad and ashamed. :smallfrown:

But GCSEs aren't so bad. As long as you get your five C minimum for college it's fine. And then next year you get AS results which matter a lot.
And then the year after that you get A Levels which matter one heck of a lot. An on that day you also find out whether you get into your uni of choice.
Your two years of educational stress begins in September people (unless you're doing them in Y10). Enjoy the freedom.
*evil laughter echoes throughout thread* I like being evil.

Errr, not quite Curly.

I need to get at least a B in all of the subjects I'm hoping to take at A level. Now, I wouldn't so scared if it was for that epic level screw up I made of the chemistry exam.

So I'm just goona sit here panicking for a while. Then try to sleep. Then panic a little more when I get up.

Got one better than that. I got to get at least 5 A's or I get asked to leave, and I have to get an A or A* in the subject I want to do fro A level. So I think I'm allowed to worry a bit thanks. :smalleek::smalltongue:

Thanks.. It sucks so hard. I tried really hard, like I studied months before the exams. And I was so confident, guess i'm just dumb. Really dumb. I mean, it was even lower tier, and I couldn't get three freakin' C's!

I have absolutely no idea what i'll do now. Throwing myself in to a huge fire sounds pretty good right about now, though.

Well...this year, I took 4 of my exams. So far I have got:

Biology - A - 86/100
Chemistry - A - 80/100
English Lit (Drama) - A*?! :smalleek:  - 36/40

I'm happy.

Are you interested in any vocational studies or non-academic things?
Art, culinary stuff, trade stuff (electricians make damn good money).

Zams aren't for everyone matey.

There are one or two vocational studies I wouldn't mind doing, the only thing is, my parents wouldn't be very fond of me going through with them. The chances of ever making a good amount money would be pretty damn low too. So basically it's just a far fetched dream of mine.

I could go with an IT Technician Level 2 Certificate and hope to get transferred up to the IT BTEC I actually wanted. But still, it's kinda chancey.

v: Slighty scary. But I get your point, thanks :smalltongue:

Oh boy were GCSEs a while ago for me...I really can't remember how it came out.

My most recent exams however were my AS levels. I turned out a C average with Critical Thinking and English Language, D average with double Applied ICT (I could spell "Dude" from my marks...). The entire faculty agrees someone (Not me) seriously messed that subject up though, so I'm still in for A2.

I'm sure you'll end up alright Salmon, but good luck in the meantime!

You have plenty of time to make mistakes and go back and do something else.
Do something you want to do, it is much more important than money.
It is better to regret something you have done than to always wonder what if...

I thought I'd messed it up... well, I did. Partially. I needed 5 A to C's to get into where I want to go.

And I got...

A- English Lang.
B- History
B- English Literature
C- Physics
C- Biology
C- Maths
D- French
D- Geography
E- IT (:smalleek:)
E- Chemistry
E- Law.

You can tell which subjects I didn't like, can't you. I'm one of those people who does loads of work on the stuff he loves and really little on the subjects he hates. Luckily I had such a superb Biology teacher, and I don't think I'd have got a C without him. (He was, for a while, the Warmage in our D&D group!)

@ Salmon: Don't worry mate. You can still win @ life. Being awesome is something no test can grade you on. *hugs*
