Best FPS - Max Payne, hands down, for the storyline and narration.

Best RPG - a toss up between Neverwinter Nights and Oblivion. I'd say Neverwinter Nights.

Best Strategy - Heroes of Might and Magic III (although I like all the games from the series). I like Rome: Total War but it's just not as entertaining because of poor AI and only being able to play battles in multiplayer.

Best Puzzle - sudoku puzzles in daily paper. Not a video game though, so I don't know if it counts...

Best Action - how is it different from an FPS?

Best Hybrid - Oblivion (I'd say it's also an FPS aside from being an RPG).

Best Other - Solitaire! There's nothing quite like it to kill time in a boring class.

Best Music - Red Alert II.

Best Graphics - Oblivion. It may not be the absolute best right now, but it still beats any game when it comes to immersion thanks to very, very realistic looking graphics.

Best Characters - Baldur's Gate II (changed my vote here.. how could I forget this game).

Best of system - I only play on PC.

I fail to see the purpose of this thread. Everyone interested gave nominations already anyway, and they will vote on exactly what they nominated.
