For a pbp game. I did ask for advice on the thread but was ignored. Thread is here. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4759366) Character (with STs decisions) reproduced here. Starting character + 50xp In particular I want to know if the combo is worth it.

Even with an artefact, there would be some appropriate drawbacks to replacement hands, so I'd add two bonus points at character creation.Sweet!
As for the mentor, it's at least two dots for the basics, three dots for Bottomless Depths Defense and further on.Had budgeted for 3 so cool.
It's possible to train these charms without a tutor after having learned the style, but doubling the training time as usual. Also cool. What about the special bonus "Water Dragons" get when using Razor Claws, does that apply to me? I post my character now for critique, as I am still quite inexperienced in Exalted. Stats assume it does.

Virtue:Conviction
The exalt becomes fixated on his current goal, seeing nothing else but that. This should either be their current activity or, if that is unlikely to take at least a day to complete, another, related goal towards which they might feasibly make reasonable progress in a day. The exalt takes no action that are not in some way related to that goal, regardless of their importance and always take the most obvious and direct path to their goal, using any and all resources they can. They will not even take the normal safety precautions if they are likely to slow down their progress. They will press on even if injured or exhausted, even if they are on the brink of death. They react violently towards anyone or anything that attempts to hinder them, for whatever reason.
Duration: One full day
Partial Control: They are permitted to take normal safety measures and utilize methods other than the most obvious, so long as it is fairly direct. If they become badly injured they are permitted to seek medical aid, so long as it is relatively easy to obtain.
Condition: The character is forced to abandon a task by circumstances beyond their control.

Intimacies:
Undermining the Immaculate Faith and its servants.

Equipment:
The clothes (Black desert garb) on his back.
His hands.
His breastplate (under his desert garb)

Experience: 4

Bonus Point Expenditure:
I have a problem here in that I used Anathema and now realise I can't reverse engineer it easily but I do know I spent the bonus 2 1 point of artefact background and 2 points of specialities.

BackgroundThe birth of an albino child is never considered auspicious, but to the Al Shum branch of the Shiaa'de caravan families it was the start of what was to be some very troubled times.
The Shiaa'de are a group of related caravan families that operate in the South near *Campaign staring point*. They cultivate an air of mystery and mysticism about themselves partially as an advert and partially as a defence. Exactly what is true about them I leave to the ST. They are at the very least highly competent in the area of safe, covert and rapid transportation of things through the south.
The child, then called Buulba (the Shiaa'de give their children one name as children and then the caravan master gives them a new one at adulthood), was difficult. He had a habit of moving about the caravans unheard, was quick to anger and almost cruel in dealing with those who crossed him. Nevertheless it takes more than disturbing habits and cold personality to sever the bonds of family amount the Shiaa'de.
Once, at the age of 14, Buulba sent missing. After much searching he was found badly injured, alongside a dead desert lion. Buulba's hands where ripped to shreds, but it was evident that he had managed to break the lion's neck.
Over the coming years Buulba, later known as Alabaster, carved a niche for himself as a caravan scout. To compensate for his ruined hands he had learnt to fight using the rest of his body and spent most of his time away from the caravan, alone in the sands.
In his 20th year, on a standard mission, he was set upon by bandits. He does not recall, now, what exactly they where but he does know he took two of them down before they landed a blow on him. But the blow was hard. Then, things got strange. He knows now that it was his exaltation, but at the time it seemed inexplicable. He knows he killed another bandit before the side of dune they where on fell away. He can't remember much after that.
When he awoke, he was in a man made cave that had been exposed by the sand slide. He has a hazy recollection of a man dressed in green at the mouth of the cave, but not for very long. Where the ruined mess that was once his hands was gone, replaced by a pair of golden prosthetics, along with a pair of black leather gloves with slits in the top. The gloves to conceal the artificial nature of his hands, the slits to allow the blades concealed within to slide out. There was also a breastplate of the smae golden metal as his hands.
After returning to the caravan, it was decided unanimously by all the member so of the caravan that it would be too dangerous, particularly as some areas they travelled to where devoutly Immaculate, to travel with Alabaster Goldentouch. He went his own way, seeking a purpose in the sands.
It was not long before he came upon such. Crossing the dunes near what he knew to be a more mundane caravan path he observed two figures, struggling through the sands. One was clearly chasing the other. The lead figure was older, a Terrestrial Exalted with pale blue skin and dressed in the manner of a sage, his shaved head marking him as an Immaculate monk. The other figure was of uncertain providence, ashen faced and dark haired, they where caring something that looked to Alabaster to be an oversized firewand and was clearly waiting for a clear shot. Forgetting himself Alabaster edged closer, intrigued by the scene below. Quick as a flash the second figure turned and fired his weapon at Alabaster, presumably thinking him the others allay. The shot went wide but fused the sand near Alabaster into glass.
The next steps in this dance where alien to Alabaster, he only understood the motives when they where explained to him later. The lead figure turned, saw the shot go wide, and turned about to attack his pursuer in an attempt to prevent him killing what the lead figure assumed to be an innocent bystander. Faced with what seemed to be an ambush the chasing figure fled.
At first it was nothing but pragmatism that made Alabaster agree to travel with the old Terrestrial. Two where safer than one. Over the next few days they did not speak much, but he divined that his companion, who desired to be known only as Kugu, had indeed been a fighting monk, indeed a Sifu, of the Immaculate Order, and that his peruser was also in some way connected with that order.
On the dawn of the fifth day their peruser returned. The battle was fierce but over quickly, their attacker (and indeed Kugu) had been surprised at Alabaster's fighting ability, a fatal mistake on their assailants part. After the battle was done more talking happened. Kugu still said little about his past, but said a great deal about the world, about the Immaculate Order, and its lies. How he came to know this he never said, but he knew that almost every line was based on deception and falsehood. In order to thank the strange man who had come to his aid and to help undo the damage he had contributed to Kugu the Heretic (as he now jokingly called himself) taught Alabaster the principles of the Immaculate Dragon Style of Water, a Style that Alabaster was in a good position to use.
After a few years, for Alabaster was a swift learner and his Teacher a good one, they parted ways. Master and pupil but never, to the slight dismay of Kugu, friends.
PersonalityAs Kugu often mentioned, The Immaculate Style of Water is strangly apt for Alabaster's personality. Like the deep lake or still ocean, Alabaster's outward apperance is one of calm and stillness. Beneath this however lies a surging, raging current that, if disrespected, can mean death to all but the very strongest. From the still mill pond to the raging Tsunami, water is a good metaphor for Alabaster's soul.
AppearanceAlabaster is a 5ft 4 albino with short hair (once shaved according to Kugu's wishes) hard features and an unsettling depth to his eyes. He dresses in black desert garb with a distinctive Shiaa'de head dress that includes a small turban and nose and mouth veil. When not covered by his gloves however it is his golden hands that most people notice first. In battle it is usually the razor's sticking out of them that draws their attention.
