So basically, the PCs are at the final dungeon, which is actually a sort of dimensional pocket created by the first part of the ritual needed to end the world. Outside of it, the disaster is already beginning, what with rain of fire, giant floods, and all that.

It's the Final Hour (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6tDnwoK3wI&feature=related).

The song from Golden Sun's 4th Lighhouse could be a good one. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwbojqMQ5Wc) So could the theme from the second one, actually. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-tZewxFyBQ)

The music from Chrono Trigger that it plays when you're at the lightpost at the end of time.

Talking Heads - Road to Nowhere (skip past the first 30 seconds)

This time I can't suggest anything better.

The Final Countdown! I AM KAISER! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0q0jgScOD4)

If you can stand the mild Engrish, The Gate of the Hell is perfect for this.

I suppose R.E.M. isn't what you're looking for? :smallamused:

It's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTsoj5ub_H8) a lot less creepy if there's an elf in the party.

This, the Brahm's Requiem (http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=Kil29XlkI78&feature=related).

EDIT: Just an advice, for D&D music, use soundtracks of games like Heroes of Might and Magic 3 and films like Interview with the Vampire, or renaissantist music.

How Far We've Come (http://www.metrolyrics.com/how-far-weve-come-lyrics-matchbox-20.html) by Matchbox Twenty maybe.

Huh. I was scrolling down the Gaming frontpage, and saw this thread, and then immediately the "Nerds In The Navy" thread...

If it's a silly (maybe pirate) campaign, "In The Navy" might be wacky enough to work. But that's very particular...

This actually made me think of something other than the obvious.

Two questions...

Does the end of the world threaten the gods?

Do you have any divine casters in the party?

If the answer to both is yes... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oxx2fZOVfRI&feature=related)

The "Muppet Show" version, if there are vikings involved at all.

Well, Curse of Dance works for ANYTHING epic EVER, but it's more for boss battles.

As for keeping with silly cliches, you NEED to play this song as they're entering the next dimension...

IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOOOOOOOOOOOOWN! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZkllM8znx4)

The lyrics even work.

We're leaving together.
But still it's farewell.
And Maybe we'll come back.
To Earth, who can tell.

I guess there is no one to blame
We're leaving ground
Will things ever be the same again.
It's the Final Countdown.

A-ha's The Living Daylights (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hMLDu_mYhQ) could work, too.

Probably not what you want, but I used the organ symphony for a similar situation in a campaign a while back:
