If you don't know who he is, get the **** out.

He might not be from up here in México, but he is very funny. That's why I'm starting his fanclub.
Also, could someone do a banner or something? it seems fitting

Let's not forget Estabon Colberto, people!

Because there really are no bigger guests than "The Fat Man" and "The Giant Baby."

That sequence was hilarious.

Colbert's hilarious. He's great at deadpan and keeping a straight face.

It'll be a bit hard to discuss most of the show without getting into politics, though.

His recent multi-episode sequence about the town of Canton was amazing.

I fantasize about Mr. T and Stephen Colbert teaming up to fight a berserk KITT from Knight Rider while being chauffeured by the rest of the A-TEAM, under the employ of CTU, headed by Jack Bauer.

I love Colbert. His book is right beside other great thinkers such as Aristotle and Voltaire, and his book has of 5 times the intelligence and insight as both of them put together.

(Though I like Jon Stewart's show more...)

Hmm. Maybe. I definitely will if I have time...I'd like to, really, but I have pretty much no time during the week, and I'm already having enough trouble getting the avatar requests that I currently have done. If I can, though, I will. I already know what I want the banner to look like.

EDIT: Colbert vs. Stewart? Well, they have two very different comedic styles, really. Colbert is more deadpan and almost never goes out of character, while Stewart doesn't employ a special character for his show. He just makes jokes.

I find Stewart's (censored for being against forum rules) commentary and jokes to be more consistently funny. Especially a recent one about (censored for being against forum rules) and (censored for being against forum rules) being shown to be (censored for being against forum rules) against (censored for being against forum rules).

Also his (and his correspondent's) coverage of the (censored for being against forum rules) was seriously fantastic.

Colbert wins at everything for the Correspondence Dinner. I don't believe there are more awesome things in existence. On the other hand, Stewart truly has THE BEST ****ING NEWS TEAM ON THE PLANET!, and personally, I find him more tolerable over long periods of time. However, I think we all know that above them both, is the almighty LEWIS BLACK! HAIL!

Hey, any show that makes fun of its own country that much deserves to get to poke fun at other countries, I think. :smallwink:

I find Colbert himself funnier than Stewart (I happen to be a bit right of center and Stewart can get too sarcastic and annoying for me to watch sometimes) but Stewart's separate segments are much better. Especially Rob Riggle. His Beijing report was hilarious.

I tend to enjoy Jon Stewart more than Colbert. Stewart is at his best when he just comments on the news stories, not when he bothers with correspondents (though The Best ****ing News Team Ever is just about the funniest name ever). Colbert is much more over the top, but he is still awesome beyond words. In fact, a picture will have to do.(It's really big, warning)

Incidentally, D&D actually got the "Colbert Bump" once (unofficially) and I believe it was mentioned somewhere that Colbert played games like that in his youth.

I could be wrong, but when he cracked the joke "make a saving throw" after a guest compared something to D&D, that tipped me off.
