Recently we've defeated a stonegolem, to mess with the DM my character took some of the stone "leftovers" from the golem and madehimself some lucky dice...

Now when we need to chose a path in a fork in the road he uses the dice to see where to go, or should I say i use MY dice ...

Do you have enough to make a D6, a D20, and a D4?

Because then, if you get some parchment, and whittle a few simple figures...

Me and my group were once playing Wyrms and Caverns. A game our characters created........It's not what you think...It was Hunter: The Reckoning.

I made myself a full set and intend to enchant them later to cheat in the tavern

Also I think our DM will kill us if we try to meta-game.

My players were walking into their third tavern of the campaign, so I thought I'd shake things up a little. It was in the academic district of a bustling metropolis. They were looking for the usual Hooded Stranger at the End of the Bar or the Gang of Mercs Near the Hearth. Instead, there was a group of five young scholars at a table, eating snacks & drinking mead. One of them was sitting behind a folding screen, describing events in a far off place, while the rest of them were rolling dice & writing down numbers on their scrolls...

So much hilarity ensued that the players got more into the game-within-a-game than the campaign itself.

I know it's barely relevant but obligatory XKCD link (http://xkcd.com/244/).

I had a character who did that. It started a bar fight that went into a riot and ended with her blowing up the tavern so her party could rob the local temple, thus starting a war. So I can proudly say I've seen a bar fight start a war!

On my last backpacking trip, a friend started trying to carve a full set of dice from stone. Even a d8 is quite hard to make, it turns out.

Not if you had stoneshaping or some other magic like that.

So speaking of games within games, anyone play that terrible 3 dragon ante game?

If you didn't do it, I would have.

I hope you don't mind if my party steals this idea, after we come out of our coma and break out of prison of course.

Heck, I'd try to enchant them to be usable as a weapons. I'd try to enchant my in-game dice to cover practically anything I'd have to roll my real-life dice for.

Dice are actually really hard to make in real life. And if you aren't careful they won't be balanced well at all. That should take a craft check of the appropriate type with a pretty high DC.

Haha...little do you realize that my reaction was a ploy to draw out the real puppetmaster! And now, good sir, we fight to the death...of our respective network of unwitting peons and political allies through clever, subtle manipulations requiring far more thought than necessary! The true battle begins! (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/XanatosRoulette)

Unbalanced dice have hardly stopped romans from gambling with them.

Um....
Yes. You figured it out. I am a mere pawn in your schemes.
Ignore me.

This ritual, does it involve melting bad dice in front of the d20?
