which source book class would you like to see?

Now the big question here is how many jokes that can be made about the class. [This is related to how many people know the class, or at least can be quickly introduced to it.] The fact that a class is cool is of no interest. If we can't get some laughs at the class, it is not going to be a good addition to the strip.
So go thru the list of classes and reject all of them where the average reader might say "A XXXX? What is that?".

I think Rich did that to a degree with Incarnum users (I took RC forgetting that Psionics were in use to be a joke about the non-core classes which they hadn't used in OotS).

It's the last part that worries me. Didn't Redcloak, at some point, state that (and I paraphrase) they had to study for a long time to even find out whether or not Psionics existed in this world? Finding one would be... illogical, since, appearantly, so few exist.

I'd say the opposite: everything but please, no classes from ToB. I'm glad OotS didn't convert to 4E, and seeing those "anime-like-fighter-casters-with-fancy-enervating-strikes-and-powers-that-really-don't-fit-dnd-at-all" from ToB would be as bad as seeing a major 4E conversion, IMHO.

Unless... Rich decides to mock those classes, as he did with the Incarnum user. :smallbiggrin:

Also, i think it would be interesting to see Archmages showing around. It's one of the most interesting kinds of wizards IMHO, and i'm surprised that we haven't seen any wizard with that prc on the OotS scenario. I can totally imagine V with Mastery of Elements and Spell Power abilities!

i'd actually enjoy seeing a warlock character simply for the constant eldritch blasts as his answer to every problem.



On that matter, Xycon can kill people easily, but he lets them get way too close far too easily, simply so he can gloat in their face instead of killing them from far away. All it takes is a few lucky power attacks from Roy to put a crimp in the lich.

I'd like to see a Warmage. Failing that, any of the classes from Tome of Battle would be neat.
