Now I know that this feat (from Libris Mortis) is not the best in the world...especially when you get past about level 5 and 1d6 damage is all but insignificant...but ever since I first saw it I fell in love with it. Unfortunately, I've yet to actually use it because (well, mainly because I've yet to play a Cleric in a game, but that's beside the point) Feats are such a rare commodity.

So, my challenge is this; find a place for this Feat of (not so much) Doom. Further, some suggestions for a character built thematically around the idea of draining health/vitality would be appreciated.

My initial thought was the Master of Shrouds PrC...sure you lose a level of Spellcasting, but you get Extra Turning as a bonus Feat (combined with the Undeath Domain gives you +8 Rebuke attempts per day) and a specialised Summon Undead. It also has very easy entry qualifications (I believe that you can take your 1st level of MoS at level 4 or 5).

Are there any Feats or Class Abilities that expand the range or damage of Su Abilities, 'cos they could apply to Profane Lifeleech?

Tome of Magic has various metamgic feats that you can apply to supernatural abilities 1/day, though it doesn't have maximize.

Seems like some of mama's good ol' homebrew spif-up-the-feat is in order.
