No real fluff atm. Mainly want to work out the mechanics first.

Becoming a Mental Archivist

Mental Archivists are limited to Erudites, who have already mastered the most basic skill of the Mental Archivist...converting the magic of other disciplines into Psionic powers.

Entry Requirements

Skills: Spellcraft 13 Ranks, Psicraft 13 Ranks

Psionics: Manifester Level 10th, Convert Spell to Power Ability

Gestalt: This is a Gestalt SuperPrc, it uses up both of your class selections for the duration of the PrC.

Class Information

Table: The Mental Archivist

Hit Die : d4
{table=head] Level | BAB | Fort | Reflex | Will | Special | Powers Known |
1 | +0 | +0 | +0 | +2 | Purity of Discipline | +1 level of existing manifesting class |
2 | +1 | +0 | +0 | +3 | Purity of Focus | +1 level of existing manifesting class |
3 | +1 | +1 | +1 | +3 | Purity of Mind | +1 level of existing manifesting class |
4 | +2 | +1 | +1 | +4 | Mastery of Conversion| +1 level of existing manifesting class |
5 | +2 | +1 | +1 | +4 | Limitless Potential | +1 level of existing manifesting class |
Class Skills
The Mental Archivist’s class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Knowledge (all skills, taken individually) (Int), Profession (Wis), Spellcraft (Int) and Psicraft (Int)

Class Features

Weapon and Armor Proficiency

The Mental Archivist gains no new weapon or armor proficiencies.

Powers Known

At every level indicated on the table, the character gains additional power points per day and access to new powers as if she had also gained a level in whatever manifesting class she belonged to before she added the prestige class. She does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained (bonus feats, metapsionic or item creation feats, psicrystal special abilities, and so on). This essentially means that she adds the level of the mental archivist to the level of whatever manifesting class the character has, then determines power points per day, powers known, and manifester level accordingly.

If a character had more than one manifesting class before she became an mental archivist, she must decide to which class she adds the new level of mental archivist for the purpose of determining power points per day, powers known, and manifester level.

Purity of Discipline (Ex)

Your are a master of learning and have learned more about all the forms of magic, from arcane to divine to psionics. However these other, lesser forms of magic are beneath you. All spell slots from pre-existing spellcasting classes are converted to Power Points. Use the following table to figure out the relative values. In addition, as the first test of your new skills, all of your spells known from spontaneous casting classes are converted to powers as per the Convert Spell to Power (ignoring any magic type that may prevent such a conversion normally).

{table=head]Spell Level|Power Point Value|
0| 0|
1| 1|
2| 3|
3| 5|
4| 7|
5| 9|
6| 11|
7| 13|
8| 15|
9| 17|
You may no longer advance in spellcasting classes other than those pertaining to Psionics as well as all spellcasting abilities (other than Psionics).

Purity of Focus (Ex)

With your new skills, you are able to focus your new powers more precisely than ever before. The DCs of all manifested powers are increased by 1.

Purity of Mind (Ex)

You experimentation with your new skills now grants you the ability to draw even greater energies from within your own mind. Power points gained from a high ability score are increased by 50%.

Mastery of Conversion (Ex)

You no longer see things in the flavors of magic, you see only the guiding hand of the mind. You can freely convert a spell of any flavor of magic into a psionic power through the same process you could once only convert arcane spells. You may substitute your converted powers and your manifester level for spell and caster level requirements for purposes of qualifying to produce magic items. (e.g. If you converted the arcane spell Forcecage into a magic power, you may create arcane Forcecage scrolls)

Limitless Potential (Ex)

You are no longer limited to converting spells (or gaining discipline powers) to powers to one level lower than the highest power you can manifest. This allows a Mental Archivist to master even the ninth level
spells of other disciplines and spellcasting forms. In addition, you no longer have a limit on the number of unique powers you can manifest in a day...you are limited only by your power point reserves.
