So for those who are interested...first thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90190). Seriously, it was only on page two...:smallconfused:
Also, I'm fine with being a pirate a little early. The actual talking bit may or may not happen.

For those of you who don't feel capable of talking like a pirate and want help, I present to you the Loading Ready Run instructional video, How to Talk Like a Pirate (http://loadingreadyrun.com/videos/view/49/how-to-talk-like-a-pirate).

I, for the record, will talk like a member of a team of pirate superheroes.
Technically, it counts.

You're going to judge me by what absolute absurdity I participate in? I do absurd stuff, just not this kind.

Eh, whatever. This year I was seriously getting a pirate ship parade float and riding it around town.

Well if it makes you happy, I was absurd enough to remove my pants. And has anyone seen them? It's getting cold.

Since we all be fans o' things piratical, I have for ye these fine links to good things:
A group of pirates for rent (http://www.seafairpirates.org/); they take part in a local parade every year, and often fire an honest-to-God cannon (without a cannon ball, naturally) as they sail down the street.
And, of course, McSweeney's Pirate Riddles for Sophisticates (http://www.mcsweeneys.net/2000/06/14pirates.html).
