Judging from the fact that you lack a sig in the OP but have one from post 3 or so, you are pasting your sig rather than setting it in the user control panel. I you click on User CP near the top of the page, you can edit your signature from there.

Or you can click "insert Image" in your toolbar and put the URL in.

When you haven't written anything in your signature, when you do later on get a signature, it only appears in posts later on.

if you get what I mean. You probably don't, because I'm confusing myself here.

I understood that, but probably only because I had just figured that out myself because when I made mine it didn't appear on any old posts and at first I was really confused, then I posted, and realised that it doesn't add your Signature to your older posts from before your first signature. (If that made any more sense at all to anyone)
