People have touched on the fact before that in the DND setting, dramatic death is somewhat less dramatic. You can just raise them, and that gets easier and easier as the Order levels up.

Rich has done a good job ensuring that deaths are permanent before, IE the most recent Therkla death (593 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0593.html)), which his her not wanting to be raised because it would be without Elan. Shojo (410 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0410.html)), also refused to be raised, because he would just be thrown in jail, and he was going to die soon anyway. And then there's Roy, who has a few complications in his resurrection plan.

But you can only pull the same trick a few times before people get wise; Rich needs to make DND stand for Drama and Death. Here's one of my ideas; you guys should input a few too.

When Roy is ressurected, we cut to him trying to go to his body. But, before he can get there, he's grabbed by a lone string; a strand of the Snarl. Apparently, with the continued weakening of its prison (Nice Job Breaking it, Miko), its influence has stretched to the afterlife. Eventually, it gets to the point that all dead are trapped in its hold.

It's not perfect; and when the strip calls for a ressurection (ala 571 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0571.html)) there'll be a complication, but eh. Thoughts?
