This tiny, slug-like being appeared one day from far beyond the stars, carried by a chunk of rock which fell to the earth. It appears initially as a short, flesh-colored, caterpillar-like insect. However, once it begins feeding, it grows larger and more complex, slowly assimilating the various abilities and appearances of its victims. Its goals are unknown, its origin even more-so; the only thing that is known is that, unchecked, this horrible creature could become a tremendous threat to an entire planet.

Combat

The Visitor prefers subterfuge to outright combat at first, crawling silently until it finds an opportunity to infect its’ victim. Infecting others is the Visitor’s first priority at its smaller stages, until it is capable of defending itself. Its tongue is prehensile and stretchy, allowing the Visitor to manipulate its surroundings with its superb intelligence and outsmart its opponent, as well as cause minor wounds if necessary. The Visitor knows its limits, and will flee unless it has reason to believe it can win. Once it acquires more traits, its combat tactics can change to suit its new form.

Blindsight - The Visitor’s initial form has no eyes, but has use of the Blindsight ability. It keeps this ability through all its transformations.

Mutate – When it can, the Visitor seeks to infect stronger life forms and then add their abilities and physical aspects to itself via a touch attack (Reflex save DC 15 to avoid). It does so via orifices in the body, most often through the mouth, but also through other cavities and even large wounds if necessary. Once inside, the Visitor analyzes its temporary host and then magically incorporates their physical abilities with its own. The Visitor gains the size, HD, speeds, Initiative, AC, BAB, Grapple modifier, Attacks, Special Abilities, saves, Ability scores, and advancement of the creature it infects, unless they are lower than its current statistics, in which case it keeps the old ones. After transforming into a new state, which gains the infected’s appropriate features, such as wings, gills, legs, etc, the Visitor violently explodes the victim into small pieces 1d4 rounds later and takes on a vivid crimson color after its first infection, which every transformation afterward keeps. After transforming, the Visitor regains all lost Hit Points, and only a spell such as wish or miracle can reverse the transformations, one at a time.

The Visitor can only infect creatures of an equal or greater size modifier, and does not learn any Feats the creature had, nor does it inherit the ability to cast spells, or use psionics.

Its Con should be at least average if not a bit better. It survives being eaten by the frog. A Con of 3 would give it only 1d8-4 which is 1 hit point giving it a Con of 10 would give 1d8 HD (4 hp).

It should also have the Swallow Whole Ability for its first meal (only can eat creatures 1 size category larger than it is). The frog is bigger than the worm. It can't swallow the cat though after it has eaten the frog so that must be a one time only ability.
