APPEARANCE
This is obviously not a human. He is 6ft, gaunt, and bald.
A ring of glowing glyphs orbit his head, pulsing ever so softly. Sparks of light seem to jump off of him erratically.
In his hand, he holds a lantern, decorated with the symbols of Pelor, in fact, most of his clothing is decorated with such holy symbols, making it rather obvious whom this man worships.

HISTORY / BACKGROUND
Bright(Literally) and Boisterous, Illuran did not fit in well within the Bloodfire Cabal. What he did fit in with, though, was the Church of Pelor, which took him in after he left the Cabal.
His illumnian blood made him at ease with studying holy texts, but soon his attitude led him to desire for more… action packed roles…
He became a Radiant Servant of Pelor, an exemplar of the church of Pelor, and traveled forth the lands in search of people who were yet to be touched by Pelor.
Eventually, he did settle down… and that’s where the next part of his life started…

PERSONALITY / QUIRKS / MANNERISMS
CHA 26. What do you think?
He casts his spells mainly by telling the targets how they are about to be healed/smited/buffed/destroyed, etc. In fitting with his Cha-based casting. “The brilliance of the sun shall strike ye down. Pelor’s wrath shall be great upon such perversions of life”

And yes, I am going to use Celestial Brilliance from BoED.

Unfortunately Divine Metamagic has been erata'd. When you take it you can apply it to one metamagic feat you already have. So ... you have to take Persistent Spell feat before you can take Divine Metamagic - Persist and if I recall correctly Persistent Spell has Extend Spell as requirement.

For gear, swap the heavy flail to a Rod of Defiance from Libris Mortis. Its the same net effect (-4 Turn Resistance) but is a +1 Heavy Mace for 10,000g. Being a 1 handed weapon, you can now invest your gold into a +1 Sacred Chain Shirt and +1 Sacred Heavy Shield, which is another +4 to your effective turn level, compliments of the Arms & Equipment Guide. Cast Magic Vestaments on them both for MORE AC than you would have had with the +5 Chain Shirt, AC 26, as opposed to AC 19. Melee isn't your forte, but more turnage is.

Also, an Ephod of Authority from MIC will give you another +1 effective turn level for only 800g.

Don't take the 6th level of RSoP. Because of the +1/lv component of most cure spells, Empower is actually STRONGER on average than Maximize, especially with something like Cure Light Mass. You don't need that high of a turn CHECK, instead focus on turn LEVEL. Ditch the Marshal and Heirophant levels, 1 level of RSoP, and maybe 1-3 levels of PA and take Cleric and Sacred Exorcist respectively. If you get to 5th level of SE, you get a permanent consecrate aura, which adds +3 to your turn check and keeps undead from animating around you. This'll aide your casting more, and add several levels levels directly to your effective turn level. You only have to be able to reliably make a DC21 turn check. Since you don't cast with Wisdom, invest in a Greater Choaker of Eloquence. That'll give you a similar bonus to your turn check and won't interfere with your CL or TL.

As the above mentioned, you can't take Divine Metamagic unless you have the connected base feat. Thus, DMM: Persist is a 3 feat commitment, one for Extend, one for Persist, and one for DMM: Persist. I dunno what to replace those feats with, probably Extend Spell and Divine Spell Power (increase your CL by +4 because of your massive turn check bonus).

Something worth noting, there is a spell in CChampion that'll help you out a lot. Turn Anathema allows you as a NG cleric to turn [Evil] Outsiders as you would turn undead. You know, just in case there is a demonic or diabolic presence causing the undead hordes to plague the land. Its only a 2nd level spell, can't hurt to pack one.
