A towering figure in a dark robe enters the room where you have been milling around sizing up the competition. His face is completely obscured by his hood. He raises both hands to get your attention and speaks in a deep voice.
Lonehunter, Abby. He pauses for you to identify yourselves.
You have been chosen to be the first. Prepare yourselves!
With that he brings his hands down and the two of you find yourself transported to the arena (http://excessivefreetime.org/arena/arena2.html)

OOC:
You've got time for one swift action and one standard action before you get transported in case you need to adopt a stance or activate an item.

On the map, green is open terrain, yellow is difficult terrain, red/brown is the cliffs

Opening post should have an initiative roll, anything you said after he called your name and what, if anything you did with the 'surprise round' before being transported. After that, start fighting in initiative order.

Lonehunter
You start at H4
Abby
You start at S12

Abby

"Good luck, Lonehunter."

Abby bows to her competitor, then activates her mask and releases a little stone from her hand which floats above her head.

I swear I've saved the sheet 7 times since I bought the new equipment, but it hadn't took. I updated the sheet to reflect the new equipment.

Abby designates Lonehunter as her Dodge opponent. AC 39.
[roll0]
[roll1] For Abby to see Lonehunter -- DC 7, I believe to see an non-hiding person 70' away. Also dragon mask sees invisible.

Spot [roll0] your DC sounds fine to me

I hate Losing! the goliath shouts as he charges his opponent, ignoring all debris in his path

Free action to Rage, Swift to assume Balance on the Sky, Full round to use Pouncing Charge maneuver (just enough speed to get there)
Full attack of grapples until you're grappled, then hog-tie checks, then damage

Attack 1
Touch attack [roll1] vs Touch AC 30
Grapple [roll2] vs [roll3] Success, grappling and doing
Damage [roll4]
Attack 2
Touch attack [roll5] vs Touch AC 30
Grapple [roll6] vs [roll7]; Success; hog-tied
Damage [roll8]
Attack 3
Touch attack [roll9] vs Touch AC 30
Grapple [roll10] vs [roll11]; Success; more damage
Damage [roll12]

EDIT: so, if your touch AC stays thirty, I grapple and damage you on the first one, hog-tie on the second and damage on the third

nevermind... have to read stuff to figure out...

hang on, did that last hit miss? nope, helpless.

hah. Er...

Abby

Abby disappears from Lonehunter's arms.

Abundant Step to R19.

She'd like to leave her bindings behind... I'll see if she can.

OOC:Eh, let's say that you can

Where did little girl go? Little girl hide! Me Find! Lonehunter vanishes and reappears atop the cliff at J10 (shadow blink as swift action) and peers around (Spot; cant see you; blocked by P16-O17) [roll0]. Seeing nothing and realizing you're behind rocks somewhere, he moves to H17 via I15 and looks again [roll1] Spotting you (I assume) he moves to the pillar at N20

Abby
{psst, Abby's a girl}

Edit: I'm not sure I can do that -- enter a square with another person. Can I? Crapsticks.

I will change the actions if that's not allowed.

Abby moves quicker than it seems possible, Abby walks to the base of the cliff, and climbs it and attacks the hunter.

If I did the math correct that should be 70' of movement with Abby's 80' capable.
Attack using Freezing the lifeblood.
[roll0] No damage but on successful hit, your character is paralyzed for 1d4+1 rounds (please roll in a spoiler (and label it), as I shouldn't know how long it lasts). Will save DC 33 to negate.

Let's say i'm floating in one of the adjacent squares, then. Lonehunter's a goliath though, so he's a monstrous humanoid and Freezing the Lifeblood says humanoid, so you may want to use a different attack. Also, wouldn't the DC be 25: 10 + 1/2 character level (so half of 15 round down=7) + WIS?

yeah, and it's Fort save. Der.

Instead, use weakening touch, -6 to STR no save

Feeling himself weaken, Lonehunter resolves to end this quickly.
Swift action for Raging Mongoose; then touch attacks to grapple until I succeed, then hog-tie attempts until that works, then damage again

Attack 1
Touch Attack [roll0] vs 30
Grapple Check [roll1] vs [roll2]; grappled
Damage [roll3]

Attack 2
Touch Attack [roll4] vs 30
Grapple Check [roll5] vs [roll6]; tied up
Damage [roll7]

Attack 3
Touch Attack [roll8] vs 30
Grapple Check [roll9] vs [roll10]; damaged
Damage [roll11]

Attack 4
Touch Attack [roll12] vs 30
Grapple Check [roll13] vs [roll14]; damaged
Damage [roll15]

Attack 5
Touch Attack [roll16] vs 30
Grapple Check [roll17] vs [roll18]; damaged
Damage [roll19]

Oh, almost forgot 20% miss chance from my cloak; your weakening strike hits on 21+ [roll0] Still hits; no change

Abby

{OOC: Abby gets an AoO to trip whenever your character attacks but misses. }

AoO:
[roll=TouchTrip=1d20+25[/roll] (+4 for Deft Opportunist, -4 for Grappling)
If Abby is being grappled, can we say that displacement cloak doesn't work here? Cuz, she's fairly certain where he is.
[roll0] vs [roll1]

I really don't know the feasibility of this. Being pinned doesn't say you can't make a trip attempt in the books I have.

If it's not okay, then she'll make her opposed grapple check.....

[roll2] [roll3]

I didn't miss; I grappled with attack 1, hog-tied with attack 2 and then did damage with attacks 3-5 (tie goes to me for my grapple mod in attack 5). Touch attacks 2-5 ended up not being necessary since we were already grappling; that's why I crossed them out. So where's the AoO coming from? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious.

Unrelatedly, I never pinned you; I hog-tied you, making you bound and helpless

Wouldn't a failed opposed grapple check be considered a missed attack attempt if it was intended to do damage?

If not, then, I guess Abby is useless unless she can make a opposed grapple check?

It's not an attack roll, so I don't think so. Either way, I didn't lose any did I? The tie in attack 5 goes to me since a tie goes to the character with the higher modifier.

You're helpless until you make a DC 28 strength check to break the manacles or a DC 35 escape artist check to wiggle free

hmm, based on math, that's not possible. so uh, uncle?

You could always try for a nat 20

Otherwise, yeah, swift action for Giant's stance and coup de grace
[roll0]+[roll1]

I've lost track of your HP, but if that doesn't kill you the DC 52 fort save would

skill checks (and ability checks which are non-specific skill checks) don't have automatic wins on 20s

Lonehunter shouts in triumph as his opponent flops over dead.

Lonehunter likes bouts against medium-sized non-Wildshapers
