Heyo,
Its beena while since I've been here, but I've got a question for all of you.
I've recently found a new DM who's willing to allow pretty much any of the most broken feat/class combos I can think of, so long as I can give a semi-valid roleplay reason.
I told him I was thinking of using sunder, leap attack, and combat brute, and he was totally fine with it. He then asked if I was planning on using that to give myself (and I can't quite remember his wording...) multiple attacks in 1 charge, or multiple charges in one round.
Now, I'm not totally sure, but I think with the spring attack and bounding assault, I could do it on a charge.

So what do you all think? Do I have it right? Is there a better way? Or is the DM laughing to himself for planting a red herring?

Thanks

[edit] Whoops, forgot to mention, this is intended for a 3.5 game.

If you can get Pounce through some means, it's a lot easier.

Multiple attacks in 1 charge is REALLY easy to get if your DM allows any cheesy material - there's a Barbarian variant in Complete Champion (Spirit Totems or something), and the Lion Totem from there gives Pounce at 1st level instead of Fast Movement.

EDIT: And I'm VERY surprised I didn't get ninja'd to mentioning that...

EDIT 2: And the only way I can think of to get multiple charges per round is the Belt of Battle from MIC (also very cheesy) which lets you spend item charges to take extra actions.

Well, you sort of did; I just didn't mention a specific source. For example, I think there's a feat or something that Catfolk can take that gives them it.

if broken is what you want then yeah this is a good way of going about it. you can get something along the lines of Lion's pounce from the Singh Rager from oriental Adventures at level 4. Of course if you NEED a second attack beyond your normal cleave you might be in trouble.

Also I think there's a skill trick in complete scoundrel that will allow you to make a turn during the charge, handy if your DM knows how to limit your strikes.

Enjoy one of the most broken characters I've seen!

(Dual wield lances! double damage on a charge!)

Thanks guys,
Do any of you know which books I can find these guys in? Well besides the catfolk one(races of wild); I don't feel like being Liono of the Thundercats.

Yeah, I plan to take that skill trick once I've got the level I need for it. As a follow up, aren't there feats that improve spring attack? Having a hard time finding them...

The Spring Attack chain of feats is in the PHBII. Note, however, that none of them allow you to treat your Spring Attack as a charge.

Now if you're serious about trying out brokenly powerful stuff along these lines, try something like this: Power Attack + Leap Attack + Shock Trooper + Karmic Strike and/or Robilar's Gambit + Combat Reflexes + Pounce + Frenzied Berzerker + a Wrathful Healing weapon. Charge someone, dump your AC into the nether regions for damage, attack multiple times on the charge, and if anything but a smear is left to hit back afterwards each return attack triggers yet another attack from you. Oh, and half of your damage output also heals you. The Wrathful Healing weapon property is from Enemies and Allies page 20.

Still can't find pounce. and karmic strike.. I've found 2 weapon pounce, and the catfolk pounce. Nothing else though...

The Pounce I mentioned is a class feature for a Barbarian variant in Complete Champion. It's the Spirit Lion Totem variant that trades out Fast Movement for Pounce (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/specialAbilities.htm#pounce). (I don't have the book on hand, so I can't tell you a page number.)

Karmic Strike is a feat from Complete Warrior.

Ahh, the DM isn't allowing variants (like nonspellcasting rangers and paladins) or flaws right now, because most of the players are going to be beginners. Not sure about a lion totem barbarian, I'll ask though.

edit: Complete warrior? Man, I must've skipped over it likea dozen times

Ridiculous combo thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88633).

Hit your enemy 95% of the time, every time (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51489&highlight=pyrokineticist). And the thread's bastard child, Flaming Homer, the Bowling Ball of Doom (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4108954&postcount=22)!!!

Ways to get pounce, free movement, or something in that ballpark:

1) Buy a wagon or chariot. Have an animal companion, special mount, hired NPC, or party member pull it.
1) Lion Totem Barbarian 1 (Complete Champion)
1) Snow Tiger Berserker feat (various restrictions, Unapproachable East)
1) Lion Tribe Warrior feat (various restrictions, Shining South)
2) Catfolk Pounce feat (Catfolk only, restrictions, Races of the Wild)
3) Hustle (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Hustle) power
4) Psionic Lion's Charge (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Psionic_Lion's_Charge) power
4) Marshal (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20030906b) 4 (Miniatures Handbook)
5) Lion's Charge (Druid 3/Ranger 2 spell, Spell Compendium)
5) Knight's Move (Cleric 3/Paladin 2 spell, Spell Compendium)
5) Wild Shape (any form that has pounce)
5) White Raven Tactics - White Raven power (Tome of Battle)
4) Pouncing Charge - Tiger Claw power (Tome of Battle)
6) Lion's Pounce Wild feat (Complete Divine)
6) Dervish 1 (dance limited times per day, Complete Warrior)
6) Two Weapon Pounce feat (only 2 attacks, sucks, PHB II)
7) Polymorph (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Polymorph_%28Spell%29) spell (many forms grant Pounce or similar abilities)
7) Metamorphosis (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Metamorphosis) power (as Polymorph)
8) Weretouched II: Tiger (Shifter, while shifting, Eberron Campaign Setting)
9) Mulhorandi Divine Minion (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mb/20050209a)
9) Wild Plains Outrider 3 (Complete Adventurer)
10) Reachrunner 5 (various restrictions, Races of Eberron)
10) Crinty Shadow Maurauder 5 (Shining South)
11) Kishi Charger 6 (Oriental Adventures)
11) Wildrunner 6 (Races of the Wild)
11) Singh Rager 4 (Oriental Adventures)
11) Lion of Talisid (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20031004b) 5 (Book of Exalted Deeds)
12) Ashworm Dragoon 7 (Sandstorm)
13) Geomancer 7 (Complete Divine)
13) Halfling Outrider 8 (Complete Warrior)
14) Cavalier 6 (Complete Warrior)
14) Teflammar Shadowlord 4 (Unapproachable East)
17) Shapechange (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Shapechange) spell
17) Greater Metamorphosis (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Greater_Metamorphosis) power
21) Dire Charge epic feat (Draconomicon)

Note, many of these have various restrictions, and I'm too lazy to write them all out. So look them up before using them.

Please let me know if I missed anything or got anything wrong.

Also, its worth mentioning that there's really very few "broken" melee builds in existence, unless everyone else in your party is completely unoptimized. Nothing that a melee build can do approaches the stuff you can pull off with spells. Melee builds require To-Hit rolls, and thus have a chance of failure. When selected carefully, spells rarely fail, and come with much more versatility.

There is a barbarian variant in the web supplement for Cityscape that lets you do what is essentially a "Cleaving Charge". If you charge and drop a foe, provided you still have movement left, you can charge another foe, if you drop them (and still have enough movement) you can charge AGAIN, repeat ad nauseum. This variant at earlier levels gives you increased movement on a charge, and doubles your threat range while charging. You give up your DR though.

Oh noes! Whatever will I do without that?
