DIY notebook help

I have been investigating the possibilities for building my own laptop (high spec of course) and appear to have hit a dead end. I have found lots of links to products by Asus and Acer and MSI which are no longer available. The only product that appears to be available in the UK is from OCZ.

Does anyone know of any other producers/suppliers of barebones notebooks?

I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for but manufacturers like Dell will usually sell individual parts from their laptops. That's how they make money on out of warranty repairs after all. Of course I have no idea how their replacement part prices would compare to the sort of parts you're looking to buy.
