So...the Soulknife. It's widely accepted that this is a weak class; it's primary class feature is to create a weapon, and yet it has a slow BAB progression, and the Fighter often easily gets more bang for his buck--literally--by simply purchasing weapons.
So my idea for bringing the Soulknife up to better par is simple. First of all, give him a full BAB. If this is someone who is supposed to have forged his own force of will into a literal weapon, he ought to be able to hit with it at least as well as a fighter. Secondly, allow him to shift the enhancement bonuses he has chosen to apply to his Mind Blade on the fly, by taking a move action to manifest a new Mind Blade. Thus, a Soulknife currently manifesting a Keen Mind Blade could take a move action to dissipate it, and remanifest his weapon as a Defending Mind Blade instead.
What do you guys think? Does it help? Too much? Not enough?
