User CP question

Hiya guys. This isn't really a problem, per se, but sometimes when I close out an internet explorer window when I am on my user CP, the next time I come back, all of my suscribed threads show a green dot, even when I was the last poster! I find this really odd, since it doesn't allways happen. It seems pretty random. Anyway, I'm not the best with computers, so anyone know a reason for this? Thanks.

This is a common problem for all forums that store read/unread information in cookies.
