Shameless Cindi Lauper plug? No.

It would appear that I've completely neglected the computer clock on my server until today. I've just updated it, but that's gonna mean that some of the timestamps are gonna be out of order. Don't be surprised, and just say "That silly RawBearNYC" and move on.

Thanks

It appears the time is off again. Just an FYI.

It seems the time is an hour fast on the sever. Just an FYI.

>:( (shakes fist) Damn you, Keith Baker and your so-called "Daylight Savings Time"!!!

(I assume Ray will fix this on Monday.)

Just an FYI....the time of the posts is way off. I think it's two hours off and also it says PM when it should say AM.

Thanks

Thanks Bog.

I guess this never got fixed. I just noticed that it says it's Dec 24th, 2003, 10:53pm when it's Dec 25th, 2003, 12:46pm PST.

Is that a boards problem or a server problem?

So I've noticed the last few days that it seems like the Time issue has been resolved. Kudos. ;D

Yeah, frankly, it's just pure laziness on my part that that doesn't get fixed.

Cool! I'm glad the timespace continium has been restored. Excellent. Thanks Raw Bear.

Hey Rawbear. It appears the time on the posts has shifted off 20 minutes or so.

Thanks.

Server time has gone screwy.

It's reporting the time here as 14 hours (and about 25 minutes) too early - aka the time it should be Over There - and claiming that "forum time" is 14 hours earlier again.

Friday's nearly finished there, I'm sure you don't want to live through it all again....

Odd, for me (US Eastern Standard Time) its about 2hrs 34m behind.

Also, for a while threads I had read wouldn't lose their "New" flag, while ones I hadn't read yet weren't getting flagged as New... but this seems to have corrected itself now.

The time's still way out for me.

I just tried to change my time offset to 28 hours, so it would agree that it's currently Saturday afternoon in NSW, rather than the wee small hours of Saturday morning; but you can't put in numbers outside the range of -23.5 to +23.5. >:(

The time's still way out for me.

Well, it's gonna stay that way at LEAST until Monday. Ray is out being prideful this weekend.

It's okay again now. Thanks, RawBear!

(I assume you did something. If not, just consider the thanks to be a windfall. ;D )

To eb a touch pre emptive, looks to me like you are about 6 minutes slow rigth now (compared to my cel phone)

SI there some sort of drift issue in your server?

Just to let people know, I know the clock is off on the server. We have one script that runs that is time sensitive and after the mixup with yesterday's strip going up, I wanted to give it a good 24 hours to collect the data it needs before I rip the world from underneath it. I'll fix the clock tomorrow (Saturday, EST)

Silly RawBearNYC, Linux is for kids!

I just have to say this, because it's bothering me. Right now, those of you on the East Coast are on "Eastern Daylight Time," not "Eastern Standard Time."

Sorry, but I had to point it out.

However, Saturday night (OK, fine, technically Sunday morning) it'll switch back to standard time.

So.... depending on when Ray plans to make the change, he very well could have been right. ;)

wanna hear something funny? When I posted that, i paused at the "S" to remember which we were in. My internal monologue was "It's still daylight's savings time, that's 'S' for savings." ROFL.
