They look the same as every generic redshirt male and female soldier on the battlefield aside from their clothes. Don't you think they should have a little more diversity in them?

That's the thing; they're ordinary.

"...aside from their clothes."

See, that probably makes up like, 75% of any given stick figure. The Katos are actually EASIER to make out than a lot of the other characters in my opinion. Now during the war, sure, you would have been right. But then, that was the point. They were "mooks" that became characters.

Well, Daigo is bald, and Kazumi wears flowers in her hair. But except for hair, there's not much else you can do with stick figures.

Yeah, it's not like they can have facial scars, different skin tones, different eye colors, different placement of facial features, or even fangs.

Or hats. Who could forget hats?

Now, they wear noble garb. From 455 on, they're the only generic soldiers still with the main group. Before that, you couldn't tell them apart from the others (there's still some dispute whether "Schlubbo Noname-zaki (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0435.html)" is Daigo).

Yeah, but the point is that they were introduced as redshirts, so they had to look like every other AC solider.

Well. it can't be, 'cuz we know Daigo's last name starts with the letters D and A.

No, I think that all Redshirts are one and the same, like the borg. Until Hugh the Katos break off, shattering the continuum. GWaH is the Redshirt Queen King.

Daigo has slightly chipped front teeth, and Kazumi has a birthmark shaped a bit like a flamingo on her left hip.

That's what I go by, anyway.
