There's a couple of things I've been looking for for awhile and I was wondering if I could get some help.

First, does anyone know if it is possible to get some of the "Living Dragonstar" adventures any more? I've heard a bit about them but can't find anywhere that has them.

Second, has anyone figured out how to convert Dragonstar to 3.5th edition?

well, never heard of dragonstar before, but unless it is very simaler to either core rules, or Unearthed arcana, you got a lot of work todo, switching class to a D&D form, then you have weapons, equipment, monsters, and all the crunch bits.

After that how are you going to fit into the D&D world,

It's not THAT bad. It's a 3.0 setting. Updating to 3.5 would take time, but not a complete rebuild probably.

Most of it you could run directly with 3.5 core boos without much problem (you'd need to work out DR and some other minor issues). The Ranger class from Dragonstar is a bit different than the ranger class from 3.0 and the 3.5 ranger might not fit particularially well.

But for the most part your barbarian who wields a +3 holy autoshotgun of disruption should work as well for 3.5 as it did for 3.0.

The +2 Holy Darkseeker Gyrojet Rifle is cooler, but your point stands.

Evil-seeking missiles for the win!

Fun system but very easily broken.

We never played any of the modules. I never saw more than just the core books for sale at the shop that we frequent.

Of course it's breakable. It's D&D! :D

In all seriousness, yeah it's a raise of the standard D&D power level. It wouldn't make much sense if it wasn't. If guns didn't do significantly more damage than swords and bows, then who would ever bother making a gun?
