does anyone know where I can go to get pictures of one inch sized squares with good area pictures on them?
e.g - a picture of a dungeon floor that I can print out, cut up and put onto a piece of cardboard to make something to put models onto

If you've got a bit of disposable income, there are some REALLY good dungeon tiles (and wilderness, and temple, and city, and everything) for purchase. Most FLGSs will carry em, but you could also order them online for cheaper. A few of the RPGA DMs I used to know use them, and man, they make things FAST for setting up combats if you plan em out a bit ahead of time. They are a lot sturdier than anything you could probably make on your own as well, but tend to be $10ish per pack, so its easy to drop a hundred or so dollars for a diverse collection to assemble anything you can dream up.

If you are gonna use those, I'd also HIGHLY recommend SteelSquire spell templates. These are wire outlines of common spell effect areas that you can easily drop onto a standard grid over miniatures and even leave in place for easy identification of ongoing spell effect areas, especially mobile ones like Cloudkill.

I've not really got that much money, I'm only 15, I'm using my older brother's rulebooks which he didn't take with him to uni, same for models
