What's the point? Isn't there already a good aligned organization? Why didn't you just join HALO?

OOC, we have nothing against HALO. (IC may be a different story.) However, we wanted an organization that only allows good-aligned members and focuses on the redemption of evildoers. If the real world can have multiple organizations for the purpose of doing good, we don't see why the forum can't hold more than one as well.

No seriously. Aren't you just a HALO clone?

Not intentionally. We have our own purpose and our own mission, which overlaps somewhat with HALO's, but is not identical.

Why don't you let anyone post in the main thread without PMing first?

OOC answer: Honestly, we tried it, and it was too chaotic to read.
IC answer: You don't let strangers wander into your house at all hours, do you? We just want to know who is in our house.

What's the point of the visitor's centre?

We still want to play nicely with others! So we set up the visitor's centre thread to provide an IC access port.

Are you part of the Town? Or are you in an extra dimension?

We didn't really know at first, but when AMEN contacted us, it seemed clear that we inhabited some sort of reality with AMEN and HALO. Which means we aren't Town. I think. (Really, we're making this up as we go along!)

Will you be interacting with the other groups?


Yes, but we haven't worked out the mechanics yet. We're officially at war with AMEN, but we don't want random fighting going on in our headquarters. So we might be setting up a war thread or a plot thread or something, but we don't know yet.

As far as HALO goes, we have no formal ties with them, though there is some membership overlap, and we're currently in discussions. IC, some of us have formed a negative opinion of HALO. It doesn't mean we have a problem with you OOC. (Honestly, Turtle isn't the brightest crayon in the box, and she's very defensive about being a former evildoer.)

GLoG is a pretty silly name, isn't it?

Yes. Yes it is. One of our founding members used to belong to the Evil League of Evil (If you haven't heard of it, google 'Dr Horrible'), so when she turned good, it seemed reasonable to form the Good League of Good.

Every time you do it, it makes you look dumb. The first time, I had said Benny used a filtered straw before you made your post. The second time you brought up your character Shadow, who has absolutely nothing on Topsy. He can't listen to telepathic conversations that include Topsy, and Topsy cannot be recorded in any way. Tsk, Tsk, was a condcending term refering to how you constantly refer to Topsy as some sort of god "I'm better than everyone" type of charecter, and it is for that EXACT reason that I made Lykan. In case topsy EVER comes back, adn tries to pull of the same old **** that he did in HALO.

A bit startled by the sudden burst of happy (harharhar), Mr. Quinne hesitates to move and talk. "Uh, uhm... it's good to see you to." He kinda, not really, half-hugs her back. That sentence is not confusing in any way. Nope.

Turtle looks a little sheepish. "Sorry, we're just... well, people have been leaving. So it's good to see someone coming back. Especially a friend."

Turtle might sense Mr. Quinne is blushing, even though there are no signs of it. "I heard." ((not really, but let's just say so)) "But we can't dwell on the bad! Drink in the good!" He takes out a flask which he totally didn't take from the bar, even if he can't drink it in any way shape or form.

"I completely agree, Francis," Turtle says.

Lex sees Turtle and Mr. Quinne. She flies over to them. Have you heard that Nil & Lindsay have left GLoG?

Magtok knocks on the door/rings the doorbell/charges towards GLoG with a battering ram, whichever response is both possible and the most polite.

A moment later, with either a pair of feet on a welcome mat, or a face coated in dirt from smashing a thick wall with a battering ram made of melted-down Kids Meal toys from Burger King, Magtok pauses, and realizes he's completely forgotten why the heck he came to GLoG in the first place.

Huh, so you did remember.

"Francis? Heh, my name's not-" He stops speaking, and taps his head. "Francis?" Mr. Quinne stands still for a moment with his finger on his cranium.

Melody walks over. Can we, um, help you, Mister?

She realizes who it is, and runs and hides behind the couch.

Turtle gives Lex a quick smile of acknowledgement, then turns back to Mr Quinne. "Is your name Francis?" she asks gently.

George answers the door. "Hello Magtok!" he says in his normal cheerful voice. He seems to look about ten years younger and 30 pounds lighter than when Magtok was last here. "Come to try out our detention wing again?"

Mr. Quinne's arms flash to grab Turtle. If successful he'll lift her up by the waist and start singing "Happy days are here again" while spinning her around gently.

"The voices in my head told me," Turtle says jovially. She intends to tell him everything, but she doesn't want to spoil his happiness just yet.

I'd suggest against that, but I can't really stop you. Topsy will if you try, however. He'd rather not have a shivering lump of metal as a home.

"Well thank you to you and the voices in your head!" He doesn't seem all that disturbed by it... huh.

When he doesn't question her farther, Turtle decides to keep the rest to herself, for now. But not forever. She owes Mr Quinne--Francis--the truth, and she is in no mood to let an evil voice override her conscience.

"If they tell me more, I'll be sure to let you know," she says.

Pri, Rick and Kris came back. Pri and Rick (and I suppose kris too) are in the infirmary. Pri had several serious wounds when he came back but the droids healed him and he is now sleeping. Rick is fine but Pri insisted that he let the drones check on him. He is lying down in a bed reading a book.

Magtok's face probably looks a bit like Julius Caesar's did when he found out his bestest buddy was one of the folks bringing him to a stabbity end, and it doesn't seem as if he heard the part about ridding the place of baddies.

I...but...but I'm an evil-doer! Here, in this dimension! Is it because I've been less active lately? I know, I haven't been at my most villainous lately, but I swear, I can change, just don't leave! I can go find a bank somewhere, hold a bunch of bank employees hostage...

The rest of Magtok's pleas get a bit mangled by sobs and demands to know the name of the other villain he's thwarting, before another clone arrives with a gun and decides that this amusing little scene can't be allowed to go on anymore, and puts a lovely little piece of hot lead in the other clone's heart.

Sorry about that, sometimes the clones get a bit...faulty. Anyways, as I was going to say, I managed to locate a certain Mrs. Fanboy's wedding ring, and suspected she'd be interested in knowing where it is.

He returns to his yoga video, and Magtok may notice that George seems to have mastered lotus position.

She walks to the door, and sighs at the dead Magtok before addressing the living one. "Hello Magtok."

Don't worry, I'll take care of that on my way out. Just wanted you to know that one of the tracking devices I had kicked into a black hole reported back with the location of your wedding ring. Apparently it's on the hand of some trouble-making arsonist in another dimension.

Magtok folds his hands together, and glances downwards, doing his best to feign a bit of worry and concern.

Now, I'm doing my best to try to stay on her good side, but I doubt she'll just hand it over, even if I explain the situation, but rest assured, I know how much it means to you...Well, actually, I don't, seeing as I'm a villainous, self-centered little cyborg, but you get the idea.

She pauses, shapeshifting to grow taller and thinner, though without any conscious intent.

"I don't know if you've spoken to Kaela lately. I told him he couldn't come back unless he was willing to be good. And the same goes for you, Magtok. We're not allowing unrepentant evildoers on the premises any more."

"They're fine, I think. Pri had some cuts that where easily healed with some potions. He's really tired though, he fought very hard, I didn't know he could do some of the things he did. Kris over there had his strength drained from him, but with some rest he should recover quickly."

I see. So then where is Kaela? I do hope you at least made sure he'd be safe before seeing him off. I don't think any of us would like a repeat of the LaRoth mess.

Turtle looks down, biting her lip. "I don't know where he is. I upset him badly." She doesn't appear to have heard Wenomir.

George heard him however, and thumps him on the back heartily. "No worries there. As long as you're trying to be good, you're welcome here. Come on, lad. Have a drink with me and Mr Quinne." He joins Francis at the bar. "How are you doing?" he asks cheerfully, while pouring drinks for himself and Wenomir.

Magtok's gaze doesn't offer the slightest bit of sympathy.

Well then, if anything happens, as soon as I'm done with whoever's responsible, I hope you'll keep this door securely locked at all times, because I can't promise you that I won't momentarily snap and do something needlessly violent out of grief.

He then turns to leave.

Turtle nods. "And I won't blame you. But assuming Kaela's unharmed, which is a fairly safe assumption, I hope you'll do something about his apocalyptic tendencies before he finds someone to play anti-Mary to his anti-Christ."

Francis goes behind the bar to serve drinks since pouring them over his head won't get him drunk. He puts on a pair of leather gloves from under the sink so his hands don't scratch the glasses. "So, what do you guys want? Old stuff, or good stuff? Quick warning, though. The good stuff will knock you right out if you're a tee-toddler." He laughs a little as he says this next line. "The wondrous stuff will kill ya, that's why I don't make it for anyone else but myself."

Pour in the good stuff. Weird as it may sound, it'd take several barrels of alcohol to get me drunk.

"If I can't talk you into sharing the wondrous stuff, then the good stuff will do," George says. Turtle joins them at the bar. "I'll stick with soda. It takes so long for me to get drunk it's hardly worth the effort."

Drinking the good stuff is like drinking three barrels of beer with a high concentration of alcohol. The Wondrous stuff is like drinking ten barrels of beer with a high concentration of alcohol. Creating either requires quite a bit of alchemical experience. That, and the recipe has to be told to you by a very skilled drunk. Hopefully they'll remember. The ingredients are impossible to decipher.

Oh, and the beer tastes bittersweet. I'll think of a proper description later.

The man cooperates with the drones. His alignment reads as Neutral, and he does not match any records.

But instead of leading into the GLoG base, it transports HALO visitors outside the front door, where they will be scanned for alignment and have their DNA matched to the database to see if they are on the approved list before letting them in. Francis slaps a white cloth onto his shoulder for no reason, and pours another drink. It's the exotic stuff. It's strong enough to instantly intoxicate a demigod of great constitution. If I have my guess right, that could kill any man almost instantly. Very expensive stuff, but GLoG isn't going to be having any money troubles any time soon from it. The fumes alone are enough to intoxicate a veteran drinker. Why did he make it? Perhaps he's just bored. Or maybe he's planning on using it for something else? Who knows.

Anyways, he sees Rick and waves him over. If he comes over, "I may not be able to drink myself, but that doesn't mean I can't give others a bit of joy."

He hands Rick a light drink before pointing at the shot glass filled with the Exotic Stuff."Make sure not to touch that shot glass. It'd knock me out for a good week, but I was a very skilled drinker. Anyone less would go into a coma for a long time, or instantly die."

Ok, I'm going to edit this post later because this is going to take a little bit to write... Well, that depends on my inspiration.

@V: Right, g'night. I'm just going to make a summarized version because I am lacking inspiration right now...

Francis explains how he and a small group of drinking buddies were partying out late one night. Well, they do it every night, but that's not the point. He goes on to say that they got lost down an labryinth of an alley, and out of stupidity entered the towns sewer system (500 years ago? :smallconfused:) so they could go down to the lake it led to. While walking they found a broken wall that led into a crypt. After a bit of stumbling about they found out that the crypt was for kings of a past age. I'd say that's kinda embarrassing to be put to rest and have a sewer beside you later on by some jerky city.

Anyways, they wander around a bit more and see undead who can't seem to get any sleep, or that's what Francis said. He continues to describe a bit of the surrounding, and how it was surprisingly clean. His friends run away after this, but he continues on. The "deady's" don't seem to bother him, but a while after walking he came across battered corpses. Continuing he finds a muscular creature that looks to be made out of black metal. "What's it called... Merit? Murry? Marut? Yeah, that's it! It was a Marut!" After that bit of remembering the name of the inevitable type, he says the Marut was after a lich. The lich was dealt with quickly, but the Marut was programmed to kill all witnesses too. Needless to say, they fought for a good seventeen minutes straight. The Marut dropped to the floor, battered and broken. "And I said: That's what you get for dealing with a master!" Even if no one was there to listen to him. He dragged the body out with him, and showed it to the town. They weren't exactly pleased, but the inn took him in and treated him to a good number of rounds. "Of course, when I woke up my pants were gone. Like I said, that was a good day. The following one wasn't as great." He laughs, ending the story.

Oh, Mistress. Lex lands on Turtle's shoulder, and hugs her.

But, maybe she really has something that will help you. She is your sister. You should at least give her a chance. At least hear what she has to say.

"She wants to pull my strings. She's always been smarter than me, and she thinks she can just keep me at her beck and call."

Then don't go right away, Mistress. Take a stand and tell her that you are not her dumb sister anymore. That you'll be watching for any tricks she might pull.

George takes the book into the great room, sits down by the fireplace (in the chair Tessa always used to occupy when she was reading), and starts reading the book. His aching brain can't make much sense of it though.

"So far, we've been fighting a defensive war. DNA scans on everyone, throughout the day, to make sure they aren't an imposter. And I'm wearing this." She holds up her hand to show a bracelet. "I can fight the mind control somewhat. If I think I'm losing, I'll activate this, and it will sedate me and teleport me into a holding cell. So you don't have to worry about me going nuts and attacking everyone again. I won't let it happen."

That's a good idea. Thanks for the scrolls and the anti-LaRoth advice. I sometimes wear a Protection from Evil bracelet if I think someone will try using mind-controlling spells on me.
