Etrian Odyssey Questions

I have a couple of questions on Etrian Odyssey.

First, I defeated the main boss on lvl 25 and did not write down the code it gives you. I was going to retire my characters and start with some fresh ones and fight him again. I need to know if he ever comes back and how do I get that password again?

Second, I have bought Etrian Odyssey 2 but have not started it because I don't have the code. What does it give you and is it worth having?

I ask this because the gift you get from FFTA and FFTA2 in the same DS when you start the a new game is not that good.

I've only played EO2 (I know, I'm lame) so I can't comment on your first question, but a quick bit of searching revealed that the code transfers over the guild name (Although you can change it if you desire) and the Town Crown item. (You also get the Town Medal, but I don't think it does anything) It also apparently makes one quest later in EO2 more difficult.
