The game starts with a tutorial for the players. Nothing but white space, the two players standing as nothing but wire frame sihlouettes of humans, no name, race, or class assigned to them yet.
Both of you! State your names!

Mee

"PITA?
Larry?
Moe?
Curly?
Howzabout . . . . Farfignewton."
Fine, you can have orange.

So, we're humans (Well, pseudo-humans), with no class? That joke never gets old. :D

Lupy
2008-10-24, 06:06 PM
Um... Andelious!

EDIT: *whiny voice* I wanted Orange...

YAY!!!

Quinsar
2008-10-24, 06:12 PM
Erm... I'ma call you Farf....

And... Erm... GUys. This is s'posed to be serious. Not super serious. But, sonot a joke...

And no, not humans, this'll be decided at a later point, for tutorial purposes you have the shape of humans, that'll be changed at a later point in the tutorial.

Mee
2008-10-24, 06:15 PM
Yeah, misread. Then edited.
"Aww. Commencing seriousness.
Sure, call me Farf."

Lupy
2008-10-24, 06:18 PM
I have a serious name now... Let's get going.

Quinsar
2008-10-24, 06:31 PM
Okay! Farf and Andelious.
Time to choose a race... List below! With what class they're best at. Based on stat bonuses. Choosing a different class doesn't affect them really... All classes are good at Clerics.

Human: Doesn't really have a best class, all around good at anything you want them to be.
High Elf: Arcane casters.
Lizardman: Fighter.
Dwarfs: Worker
Gnomes: Entertainer
Elf: Archer

Lupy
2008-10-24, 06:32 PM
Gnome.

Mee
2008-10-24, 06:33 PM
"I wanted the gnome. :smallfrown:
Fine . . . Lizardperson."

Quinsar
2008-10-24, 06:36 PM
Their wire frame bodies change to make them appear as their chosen race.

Okay. Now, I'll teach you guys the combat system. ready?

Two wolves appear, unmoving.

Mee
2008-10-24, 06:37 PM
". . . . sure?"

Quinsar
2008-10-24, 06:52 PM
F-
Another wireframe human appears.
Oh, hello. Name?

Beholder1995
2008-10-24, 06:53 PM
...

...

Arsfang.

Sounds cool enough...

Quinsar
2008-10-24, 06:57 PM
Race, please.

Beholder1995
2008-10-24, 06:59 PM
High Elf. Tiny filler!

Quinsar
2008-10-24, 07:11 PM
His wire frame human form turns to a wire frame high elf. A wolf appears in front of him.
So, first I'll teach you how to attack. It's very simple. You and your target roll a D20. Then add your power stat to that. If you get a higher roll than your opponent, your attack hits, and you deal damage. An unarmed strike deals 1D6+ Power stat. One can target a specific body part in an attempt to destroy it. Like an arm or a hand. You don't have to, but can. Each body part has a hit point value which is a precentage of your over all hit points.
Torso: 70%
Head: 10%
Arms: 5% each
Legs: 5% each
Damage, and rolls to hit/ defend can be altered by many things.
Now, try attacking the wolf infront of you with an unarmed strike.

Beholder1995
2008-10-24, 07:18 PM
Arsfang looks at the wolf blankly for a second, then lunges forward with a punch.

Uh... does the dice roller work on this forum?
[roll0]
EDIT::: And so it does.

Quinsar
2008-10-24, 07:20 PM
Beholder. You roll a D20 to see if you hit or not. D6 is for damage...

Mee
2008-10-24, 07:20 PM
Farf attacks it.

So . . . . [roll0]
And [roll1]
?

Beholder1995
2008-10-24, 07:23 PM
Beholder. You roll a D20 to see if you hit or not. D6 is for damage...

Oh. Sorry. Was testing.

[roll0]
[roll1]

Mee
2008-10-24, 07:25 PM
. . . . *laughs* Now I feel sorry for Firefox.
We got a 5, and a 3. :smallsigh::smalltongue:

Hey guys! Here's the thread for OOC and Dice rolls! (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=5168371#post5168371)
I'ma wait for Lupy to come back before I continue anymore.

Lupy
2008-10-24, 08:24 PM
Andelious kicks at the wolf's face.

[roll0]

Quinsar
2008-10-24, 08:31 PM
Andelious' manages to kick the wolf's face! Please roll for damage on the OOC thread.

Farf's attack also connects! Sending the wolf onto its side.

Arsfang's punch misses.

Quinsar
2008-10-25, 10:30 AM
The wolf whimpers from Andelious' attack, it send him sliding a bit back...

Beholder1995
2008-10-25, 10:54 AM
Arsfang is unsure whether he's allowed to attack again or if he has to wait for the wolf to take an action...

Lupy
2008-10-25, 10:55 AM
So is Andelious.

Quinsar
2008-10-25, 11:01 AM
Well, it tis the wolves actions now. So I gotta teach you defense. I'll tell you how armor works later. Defense works the same as attack, except you don't roll damage...

All three wolves try to bite their adventurer. Roll a D20 for defense in OOC thread, please.

Beholder1995
2008-10-25, 11:06 AM
Arsfang gets a fourteen for his defense.

Quinsar
2008-10-25, 11:07 AM
I read the OOC thread. No need to post what you get here. I'll know.

Mee
2008-10-25, 07:41 PM
Yeah, anyway, didn't work there, so:
Defense: [roll0]

Quinsar
2008-10-25, 07:58 PM
The wolve manages to bite them all.
[roll0]
[roll1]
[roll2]
Since their stats are still undefined, it won't kill them, but it probably hurts them.

Mee
2008-10-25, 08:05 PM
It does hurt. Now what?
I'll take one of the 6s. As I'm tough!:smalltongue:

Quinsar
2008-10-25, 08:06 PM
Since we're not really roleplaying yet, just teaching. Y'all can choose. What next Armor or stats?

Beholder1995
2008-10-25, 08:10 PM
Stats! And filler!

Lupy
2008-10-25, 08:12 PM
Stats!

Mee
2008-10-25, 08:12 PM
I vote armor. Armor is fun.
Stats. :smallsigh:

Quinsar
2008-10-25, 08:47 PM
Stats it is, then! Sorry Mee... Majority.

There are four main stats.

Power: Power determines your character's physical strength.
The more power your character has, the more damage weapons, and unarmed strikes do.
Best for Fighters, archers and workers.

Smarts: Determines how much your character knows.
The more smarts your character has, the more damage their spells do.
Best for Magi, workers, and Priests.

Agility: Determines how nimble, accurate, and fast your character is.
The more agility your character has, the faster he attacks.
Best for thieves, entertainers, and archers.

Endurance: Determines how many hits your character can take.
Each point of endurance is worth ten health.
Endurance is good for everybody.

You all start with five points in each stat, plus your bonuses for race.
Human:+1 to stat of your choice!
High elf: +2 Smarts!
Lizardmen:+2 Power!
Dwarf: +1 power! +1 Smarts!
Gnomes: +2 Agility!
Elf: +1 Power! +2 Agility!
Edits!
After this, everyone gets to add 25 points to any stats at level one, to further customize your character's abilities.
Here's how stats affect your rolls.
1-10. +0
11-20: +1
21-30: +2
31-40: +3
41-50: +4
And so on.

Now that stats are done. I should teach y'all about classes, and class progression, right? But fist. Any questions so far?

Lupy
2008-10-25, 08:50 PM
Straightforward enough. Are there Char Sheets?

Quinsar
2008-10-25, 08:56 PM
Yes, there are character sheets, whih, since they aren't on any site, I'll just make after you guys make them on her, and post them...

Lupy
2008-10-25, 09:00 PM

Quinsar

Lupy, you don't have to do it yet, not till you choos your class and stuff...
And you forgot. YOu automatically start with five in every category.

Mee
2008-10-25, 09:02 PM
Nope. Continue.
Other then: I missed something, there are regular elves? If so, can I change? Since we haven't really started yet?

Lupy
2008-10-25, 09:02 PM
Oooh... Okay then.

Quinsar
2008-10-25, 09:03 PM
